The VLC Extension plays a collection of ASCII animations in a dialog box. Just for fun.

Press "Enter" key and keep it pressed down to play an animation.
Use "Down-Arrow" key to select another animation.

There is also interesting "Color ASCII art video output" module you could try with your films in VLC:
Tools > Preferences > ( Show settings = Simple ) > Video: Output [Color ASCII art video output]
Save changes, restart VLC, play your film, enjoy :-)

 Convenient to transcode Sony XDCAM MXF files to H.

Sony’s XDCAM Series has been embraced around the world for its file-based recording capability utilizing high-capacity and reliable Professional Disc media since its introduction in 2003. Within this series, top-of-the-line XDCAM HD422 products were introduced in 2008. Now, they represent an ever-expanding range that delivers a high definition image resolution of 1920 x 1080 and eight channel 24-bit uncompressed audio. Sony PMW-EX1, PDZ-VX10, Sony PMW-350K, Sony PMW-320K, Sony PMW-EX3, Sony PMW-EX1,Sony PMW-100, Sony PDW 700, Sony PDW-F800, etc XDCAM camcorders, offer very high quality HD recording at a data rate of up to 50Mbps at MXF format.

I have shot some XDCAM MXF files with Sony PMW-100, when I try to import MXF clips into Premiere Pro CS5.5, I get a message that this MXF is not supported. Is there a way to view and edit XDCAM MXF in Premiere? I used Google search and finally I got Aunsoft TransMXF Pro for Mac. With this excellent XDCAM to Mac Converter, I successfully convert Sony XDCAM MXF files to H.264 MOV that premiere prefers to. What’s more, TransMXF Pro for Mac is professional to transcode MXF file to MOV with Apple ProRes 422, ProRes 4444, DVCPRO HD, XDCAM, HDV, Avid DNxHD MOV and even multiple audio tracks MOV for FCP, iMovie, QuickTime, Adobe Premiere on Mac (including Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks) effectively and efficiently.

Here I would like to share my experience on converting Sony XDCAM MXF files to H.264 MOV for Premiere Pro. Hope it will helpful for you.

P.S. If you are working with Windows PC, you can use Aunsoft TransMXF Pro to convert XDCAM MXF footage to MOV for editing in Premiere on Windows, which share the same basic steps with this guide.

Step 1: Import XDCAM MXF to TransMXF Pro for Mac

Connect your Sony XDCAM camcorder to Mac and transfer MXF video files to your Mac for converting.
Click "add video" or "add folder". You can also directly drag and drop individual MXF file or XDCAM MXF file structure to this excellent Sony XDCAM MXF Converter.
In avoid of no audio in output MOV, you'd better to preview raw MXF video in the preview. It's pretty nice that you can take snapshoot when preview.

Step2: Select H.264 MOV for Adobe Premiere Pro

Click the “Format” option in the main interface of TransMXF Pro for Mac, choose the "Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas -> MOV (AVC) (*.mov)" files as the output favorable format for editing in Premiere Pro

You can also choose other Premiere favorable formats, like MPEG-2, WMV, etc.

Step 3: Adjust video and audio profile

Click “Settings” button to customize the output video and audio settings by yourself. You can change the resolution, bitrates, and frame rate as you need. You can also use the default parameters, they will ensure you a good balance between file size and image quality basically.

From Profile list, you can easily compare the profile of source MXF and export H.264 MOV, as well as my free disc space. The triangle icons on the right are to view different tasks.

Step 4: Convert Sony XDCAM MXF to H.264 MOV

Aunsoft TransMXF Pro for Mac will run conversion at super fast speed. Not for a while, you can get generated H.264 MOV with perfect video and audio synchronization. It’s convenient for you to preview raw MXF and generated MOV when conversion completed. And with just a click on "Open output folder", it's easily to locate the output file.
After you transcoding Sony XDCAM MXF files to MOV, you can view and play the converted MXF footages smoothly with Adobe premiere or other editing systems, like Sony vegas on Mac.
