Description:

HexLite is based on the Flattr icon theme guidelines for coloring and flatness. This includes 2 QtCurve themes, color schemes, Plasma theme, Aurorae themes, and Kickoff icons.

This is a sort of alpha release, so there will be bugs. Let me know of any problems or critiques, and please Fav if you like it.

No problem!

Well this theme is fantastic, but it comes with a small problem. See the plasma theme doesn't have the proper settings for using YAWC and kdemenubar. Even the clock had the wrong color but I changed that one's color manually.

Yeah, that's the drawback. I wanted the panel dark, but Plasma doesn't allow for changing its font color, individually. A quick workaround would be to copy the background.svg file over the panel-background.svg, which will replace the panel with a light version.

I may give in and make the entire Plasma theme dark in the future, as a workaround.

I think that would work better. It would make the plasma dropdowns match the context menu for one.

Also one more request, could you also include some kind of firefox theme? Like a chrome.css file or something that will make firefox look passable with this theme?

Report

I created a userChrome.css, you can download it from here https://raw.githubusercontent.com/irozgar/HexLite-firefox/master/userChrome.css

Updated to work with australis but I didn't have as much time as I though I'd have and it still needs some small fixes.

Report

Yes, it will be updated, but until this weekend I won't be able to work on it

Firefox 29 and Australis broke this theme, is there any chance of an update?

Report

No problem, you can include it :D

I love it! I'd like to include it in the theme if you're alright with that. You'll be credited for it, of course.

I may be able to put something like that together. I've just been using the 'System Native Tabs' Stylish extension from userstyles.org, and it works "acceptably".

You outdid yourself on this one. I especially love the midnight color scheme. The theme is colorful yet edgy, that's pretty cool. Great work.

Plasma theme: copy to ~/.kde/share/apps/desktoptheme/

QtCurve: open System Settings > Application Appearance > Style and selct QtCurve, then click 'Configure.." and Import.

You may have to install QtCurve.

Aurorae goes to ~/.kde/share/apps/aurorae/themes/

Also, ".kde" may be ".kde4" on your system.

This might be a really stupid question, but I spend hours searching the internet and I am still lost.
I can't seem to find the aurorae folder that you are talking about. I use Mint 17, could it be that it's located somewhere else?

Like always, the second you decide to ask a question you figure out the answer yourself :p
Off course I couldn't find that .kde folder, I am such a newbie that I didn't know that .kde means it's a hidden file..
