Description:

There were many requests that someone should port roberTO's great gtk-theme VistaBut (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=32227) to KDE... so, here it is!

Well, it's not a standalone theme but a mod for Lipstik.

Instructions on how to install are included in the package.

Credit goes to roberTO21 and PaT!
Last changelog:

You need the source for Lipstik for this modification, put the files where they belong (see readme file), and do the configure, make and make install. /// Freddan

Sorry, i should first read, then write ;-).
The hint above, private bool _enableVitesque field in the LipstikStyle class, works for me.
Compile with no errors. Would be able now to change the Custom Colored Menubar.

Thanks, Richard

How to reach the trasparence when you click on a item of menu bar, as your screenshot??

And how to have a colored menu bar? I set a fade color but I have a flat window title bar!

THANKS, GREAT MOD!

1.) Set Menu-Transparency to 66% or somewhat
2.) Enable "Enable Vistesque" through the lipstik-config-dialogue

Thanks for the new version, the underlining is totally gone for me now, super!

I've just baked a new package for debian unstable, get it at
http://peppesbodega.nu/gallery/Debian%20Packages/KDE/Widget%20styles
Don't forget to uninstall your previous package since this package got a new name and I'm to lazy to make it totally right;-)

this mod is fantastic...

But I watched your screenshot and I wondered how you get that sidebar into konqueror ?? Can you tell me how to get it ?

Report

Freddan80

It's called baghira sidebar and comes with the baghira style. After installing baghira, just go to the tabs to the left and choose bghira sidebar, then open up ~/.kde/share/config/konqsidebartng.rc and write false next to the showtabs line. /// Freddan

Since version 0.2 I got this error: http://nopaste.php-q.net/183584

Report

That error can be fixed by declaring a private bool _enableVitesque field in the LipstikStyle class (found in the header file lipstik.h). Just add it in the long list of already declared booleans. Then recompile.

Don't know if this gives you a working style however (haven't tested).

After applying the workaround mentioned above it works...

WOW! With this mod, I enabled the menubar on applications like kopete or konsole, where I had it disabled for ages just to see the beautiful menu bar.

Just too bad that GTK Applications do not work properly using the QT-GTK engine.

After I put "bool _enableVitesque;" somewhere under "private:" in the file lipstik.h it compiles again.

But I guess it will also work under public etc.
But private is saves i thought...

cheers

the instructions that are included with the download are VAGUE and there is a typo.

i'm guessing it's necessary to download the source for Lipstik, then run the 'patch' and then configure, make, make install??????

please clarify

and yes, by the screenshots you've posted this is an awesome style.

thanks!
