Description:

There were many requests that someone should port roberTO's great gtk-theme VistaBut (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=32227) to KDE... so, here it is!

Well, it's not a standalone theme but a mod for Lipstik.

Instructions on how to install are included in the package.

Credit goes to roberTO21 and PaT!

To make this look exactly like in screenshot..

1. Select "Alternate menu gradients" and
2. disable "Menu stripe"

Using lipstik 2.1 there are a couple of inconsistencies..
1. Underscores in the menubar as already pointed out.

2. Mouse over/pressed Menubar items don't exactly look as in the screenshots.

Are you using klearlook..

After installing Lipstik 2.1 with the patch under Suse 9.3, KDE 3.5 it doesn't appear in the control-center.
There weren't any error messages during the installation.

I get an odd underscore in the menubar, http://peppesbodega.nu/files/Dump/underlined.png is this just me or a bug?

Hi,
the white lines under the menu entries are here too. The kicker also doesn't look like on the screenshots. How do I make it look like the screenshots? But the rest is very nice!

More odd, if I change the size from 8 to 7 the underscore diseappears, using the same font (Verdana).

This looks VERY nice. Maybe someone can write a gentoo ebuild for it?

I just changed the code to a runtime-configurable option in the normal Lipstik configuration.

Here's the Vitesque mod as a patch to lipstik:
http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/files/patches/lipstik-vitesque.diff.gz

To enable the Vitesque mod, go to the Style configuration and check the "Enable Vitesque" box.

Apply the patch with -p1 to the pristine lipstik source code.

Thanks for a nice mod, maybe try to merge it with the original Plastik?

What window decoration are you using, seems really nice.

No, I'm not gonna merge it with the original plastik, since Lipstik is WAY better.

That's the crystal deco (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=13969) with transparency disabled.

it doesn't work. i copied the lipstik.cpp over the lipstik-2.1/style/lipstik.cpp, did a configure, make, make install - but nothing has changed... ?!?!?

btw i'd love to see this for polyester/polymer... :D

ok, it DOES work now, i first had to remove it with my package manager (gentoo) and then re-install from source... :D

but i was wondering if there's away to extand it to the icons tool bars as well? (i'm using the menu on top of the screen like osx does)

There's certainly a way to extend it to the toolbar menu, but I don't know whether it will look good. I'm gonna check it out.
