This is a Metacity theme I have made based on:
Natural Metacity mockup -
Gnome Natural theme -

In the first screenshot there are a focused and unfocused window and in the second screenshot there is a maximized window.

It is customizable
Since not everybody will like this orange version I have added all the images with orange parts in a folder inside the theme. They are in GIMPs xcf format with layers easily customizable to any color you like :^) .

Once modified you can save them into the metacity-1 folder as .png and they will appear as windows decorations on next login or theme change.

Suitable GTK theme
I recommend using this Metacity theme with any GTK theme with a dark menu bar. In order to match the menu bar with the window title bar you should set the background of the menu bar to #575757.
In the screenshots I used the GTK theme "Victory (Strikes Again)" -

I really like your theme, and that's why I start to play with it. Two things were bothering me, the fact that you need to change the images in order to change the colors and the second is the "pixel" in the right down corner (a taste matter).

That's why I modified your theme and created a new one (see

In a related subject, you can also modify your theme such that it follows the user colors.

Metacity was the default window manager used by the GNOME 2 desktop environment until it was replaced by Mutter in GNOME 3.  Wikipedia
