Description:

This iconset won't ever have a massive modification.
All the work I am doing on it right now is just trying to push it to perfection, making small changes release after release [you can see what's happening in the changelog below], so please feel free to report any bug you experience, but first of all ensure you've read the instructions file ;)

Now.. the description can begin...


At first I collaborated with crhispy, releasing different coloured versions of his worderful port "Oxygen-Refit".
Now I decided to create a fork of his porting, integrating some icons I caught around the web, and some others I edited/created by myself.

Please feel free to report and bug within the comments.

A great big thank for you all.

UPDATE

Archlinux users can install this iconset from the AUR repository, just typing:

yaourt -S hydroxygen-iconset

Hydroxygen are also have been included within the GNU/Linux Paldo official repos.

For some reason, the new Jaunty notification doesn't show an icon when it connects. Is there a fix coming for this?

Here's how I fixed the notification icons:

In your hydroxygen icons folder, create a folder called "scalable" and within that, one called "status". Then, copy all of the icons beginning with "notification-" from /usr/share/icons/Human/scalable/status into your newly created folder.

By the way, this step is *not* necessary for Karmic.

so i have searched EVERYWHERE on the internet for an answer to this....i noticed there are different icons for folders with torrents in them, or pictures in them, or games or whatever. Is there an easy way to change which folders get the normal icon and which ones have games in them, or pictures or whatever so that they get the special icon indicating their contents?
I am using Ubuntu 8.10

You can customize every icon you want, but you must do it manually.
You have to right click the folder you want to change, and change the default icon to a customized one [look for it within the path ~/.icons/hydroxygen].

Is there a way to delete the icons you don't choose? That is, after I pick my look, can the script be edited to purge the set of the icons not selected?

If you want, you can delete everything you don't need, and, surely, you can customize the change-type script.
But remember that everytime you'll download an updated version, all your customizations will be reset to default.

This theme work on eeeBuntu (NBR desktop)

the sh that changes the folder icons does not change the icons in the gnome-menu.
in other words, it only changes the normal sized folders, not all the collection. at least for my fedora.

Delete the icon.cache file within .icons/hydroxygen, as you can read within the instruction file.

when i put: "sudo rm ~/.icons/hydroxygen/icon-theme.cache",
it returns: "rm: cannot remove `/home/hamza/.icons/hydroxygen/icon-theme.cache': No such file or directory"

No problem.
It just has that output because your system didn't create an icon cache file.
It's useless that command if you have now that file :)

skip that command and jump to the ./change-type.sh part
