what is the difference between these two versions

The difference stands mainly in tray icons.
This means that the white version is suitable for dark GTK themes, while dark version for light GTK themes.

However, I noticed no Ubuntu Karmic specific icons (Documents, Pictures, Videos, Downloads). Any plans in near future regarding that?

I truly hope I don't come across as painting a rose black with my suggestions--this is by far, in my opinion, the best looking and most complete gnome icon theme out there. However, as I have had more time to use and look at this this theme, it seems to me that about half of theme's stock icons need to be updated to match the new color scheme and style you introduced in this update. For example, the new blue color used for the folders does not match the old blue used for the stock navigation/dialogue icons etc--compare /stock "gohome.png" to "gtk-dialog-info.png" to see what I'm saying. Also, the new green color used for the stock navigation arrows does not match the old green color used for various other functions--compare /stock "back.png" to "go-jumpA.png" or to "gtk-apply.png" to see what I'm saying. Finally, as I mentioned earlier, many of the arrow stock icons do not match the new slightly faded back end style. To sum it up, color and style consistency needs to be further updated across the entire set with the introduction of your new style folders and navigation arrows.

Again, I hope I don't come across as negative--that is not my intent. I really do love this theme and I hope that my suggestions only help you to improve what is already a fantastic theme.

Really a magnificent set.

Btw, have you noticed the Karmic icon theme ?
Specifically, the tray icons (network, volume, battery, and so on) are really nice - especially on a netbook: minimalist, monochromatic and VERY effective.

I'd LOVE a Meliae set which uses Karmic tray icons.
Any chance ?

Maybe I can think about that, but for now I prefer to maintain the original icons.
You can always modify the theme with those icons. Btw, I have noticed that they are really good.

I've been looking to do that, mut it seems to me that's not a simple files-substitution-solution.

Could be a 3rd variation of your theme maybe: white, dark, remix ^_^

Lasci me in primo luogo ringraziarlo per il grande tema e tutti i duri lavori che mettete ovviamente in questo tema. Ciò è probabilmente la mia versione favorita del tema a partire da ancora. Tuttavia ho alcune piccole richieste e valutazioni del tema. Per esempio, colore verde più chiaro utilizzato nel nuovo " di riserva; forward.png, " " back.png" eccetera doesn' la t sembra abbinare con il vecchio " delle azione di colore verde; add.png." Inoltre, il " di riserva; gtk-refresh.svg" doesn' la t sembra abbinare le altre icone di navigazione in quanto il sistema principale delle frecce non sia sbiadetto fuori come il resto delle icone della freccia. Per concludere, è ci voi potrebbe includere comunque un dispositivo di piegatura dei giochi in un aggiornamento futuro? Ringraziamenti ancora per il bello tema. Spero questa traduzione wasn' di t Male ugualmente.

I wanted to thank you for the update and all your hard work. Also, there were a couple small suggestions I had for the theme. The first thing I wanted to mention was that the color of the stock "add.png" doesn't really match the new style of the green navigation arrows--the new navigation arrows seem to be a slightly lighter shade of green. Also, the stock "refresh" icon does not match the other navigation arrows--the new arrows have the back end slightly faded out where as the refresh icon is solid. I also wanted to throw in a request for a games folder.

If I wasn't clear enough with my description, please let me know and I'll send you some screen shots to try and clarify things.

Thanks again for sharing this theme with all of us. Its definitely my favourite.

Few weeks ago I was wondering what's happening with this theme, cause I use it and it's one of the best. But now I know :D Very nice update! True that the changelog will be too long :D

Most positive suprise to me was that all the icons in Exaile look great!

Nice but we miss the sistem-dirs icons (supportend in nautilus 2.28) in home. Most of this can be replaced by renaming ur icon for example:

folder-docs.png → folder-documents.png
folder-images → folder-pictures

but we miss download icon and I am using the bookmarks folder.

folder-bookmark → folder-download

Hi, thanks again for the best icon set out there.

Soon the Ubuntu Karmic Koala will be released, and there's some icons that this set doesn't includes, for example the powermanager icon in tray and the new Software Store. Could you please update your theme so it will fully work with Karmic?

I am in love with this iconset, I've been using it since first release and it is just getting better and better. Now I want an update :) I would like you to make an icon for pidgin that suits your theme. The original one sucks..

This is my preferred icon theme ever.

I've just a concern:
volume icon and wireless/network icon gets too big when panel size is increased. Way bigger than other icons do. Is it possible to fix ?
