Ok, here are the larger sizes. The first screenshot is 800x600, the second one is 1280x1024 and the actual download is 1600x1200.

Please note that the distribution of rocks, trees and flowers differs between 1600 and 1280 size.

I was not able to capture the same landscape as in the first (1024x768) posting but I think it's in the same spirit.

Warm greetings to the people on the southern hemisphere. :) Spring is coming soon.

The landscapes are done with Terragen and Forester in Win32.

You can emulate Terragen with wine or wineX but I haven't managed to get Forester running with wine because it uses the Windows-version of Povray for rendering and I couldn't figure out how to point to the linux-version. Maybe someone else here has experience with emulating it?

Forester can be found here:

I am using a very old copy (v0.02 I believe). Newer ones support grass and import of different kinds of models.

Sorry to have no better answer for you. But maybe you'll be able to emulate Forester. Good Luck.

But with what programs you create these wallpapers, and are that programs alaible in Linux? I know terragen, but it's for Win32 I think.
