Yes, I actually tried to add some grainy old photo / mezzotinto feel to it. Guess some people like it and some don't...

Hmmm. I might if I've some spare time, because it's not too hard to do. Of course you can try it by yourself too (actually I encourage anyone to play with this bg, because that's the idea of GPL, just post your version back here ;).

There's a short explanation on how I did this modification. You can find it here: http://tsl.tky.hut.fi/making_of_a_background.shtml, just skip the noise adding section.
