Sorry there's no screenshots - the images are only just above the 300KB limit :(
This is the green ("Wise") variant of Arc-Colors4GRUB, part of a matching set of wallpapers optimised for use in GRUB derived from the excellent Arc-Colors wallpapers by perfectska04.
They are meant to be used in conjunction with Shiki-Colors or at least Arc-Colors, to give the whole theme more consistency as your operating system loads up.
The idea is, from the moment you hit the GRUB menu, you're experiencing Shiki-colors already.
NB You will need the StartUp-Manager program to install this background. It should be in the repositories of your distribution. It's not entirely a one-trick pony because you can also use it to tidy up the GRUB menu, change security, menu countdowns etc. which may be quite useful to you. Also note that StartUp-Manager may only be restricted to Ubuntu.
I am working on a .xpm.gz edition which does not require StartUp-Manager.
Questions, comments, suggestions? Please put them in the comments box below. If it's related to the parent wallpapers or theme, please post your responses to their creator in the relevant comments sections. I am "downstream" from Arc-colors, as it were, and cannot really change something you don't like upstream!
Apologies in advance for any erratic updating - my free time varies wildly.
Enjoy!

1 did not put the file *.cxf because it is not the master, and this in a single layer
2 offers for download the file in *.xpm.gz
3 as a sample image saved as *.jpg file *.xpm (users will know the quality of work)
greetings .........

This is what I think you said:
Unloading blind... don't know what that is. Even Google doesn't know what that is... hmm...
1. Really sorry but I don't understand at all.
2. Instead of .tar.gz, the files should be in a .xpm.gz archive. Can't do unless you can point me to a nice, easy GUI tool that will zip up the image as .xpm.gz. Then I will happily do it :)
3. Make a .jpg out of the images to put up as a preview. Can do.
Using Startup manager and pointing it to the .xpms in the extracted folders seems to work fine. I didn't try and venture beyond this method because, well, it worked :P

1- Is not necesary ofer *.xcf (GIMP) file format, if you want you can put it in :http://www.gimpstuff.org/
2- the best is to put an image *.jpg just like GRUB starter manager will shaw you, for this only you have to convert the *.xpm file in *.jpg (save as). So users can knew the image will be before download it.
3- Unless I am mistaken, GRUB images must be of a size of 640x480, with a palette of 14 colors and be in *.xpm.gz. Format (href=http://ruslug.rutgers.edu/~mcgrof/grub-images/). From GIMP when you save the file, name and then put the *.xpm.gz, for example: archivo.xpm.gz
All this is only a suggestion, greetings....

Normally that wouldn't matter, but at these low resolutions and low colour depths, every pixel counts. Especially when high-res displays are enlarging all the pixels in an already ugly manner.
Using Startup Manager, you only need to give it a .xpm and it can do the magic by itself. It doesn't need .xpm.gz files. In fact, I don't even know if it can use them. It's only if you circumvent startup manager, and you're doing it manually, that you must feed GRUB a .xpm.gz. If I can produce a version for the manual users (masochists?) I will. In the meantime I will stick a notice up saying "you need startup manager to use this".
It's a shame that the Usplash screens are out of date. Otherwise we'd be looking at a completely coherent alternative to the default distro skin.
