Weathered Tux

By no means am I an experienced photographer. I do not have a high-end camera yet, but decided that I should try my hand at what I can right now.
I take my Nalgene bottle everywhere, and every Nalgene bottle's marks of pride are its stickers. My favorite sticker on my Nalgene is one of Tux. He's sparked a few conversations and turned away a few women but he's with me to the very end. I've noticed recently that he's gotten quite worn so I wanted to capture him in his current state.
The photo was taken with a measily Nikon Coolpix 3700 and was edited in GIMP.

Good new in that area though, the computer science club that I lead is working to get some more open source applications into the labs. Hopefully we can work a row of Linux clients into the labs :) The department is slowly accepting and embrasing open source.
Thanks for the comment though. It's much appreciated. Hopefully I'll be able to churn out some more sophisticated photos in the future :)
