Is that because of the shape of the stars?
I don't use Mandrake, so I probably just don't get it.
Downloaded it anyways because it's nice.

Nope it's because of the penguin design. If you go to Mandrake website you will certainly notice that all penguins have that particular "Mandrake touch".
