Currently I can't change the menubar color. all it shows is a light-gray color. No idea why? Could you provide how-to?

Go to your userChrome.css file. If you're using Ubuntu like me, then it can be found under
home/.mozilla/profilename/chrome

(the profile name will usually be a set of random alphanumeric characters followed by a dot and the profile's name e.g 5er73i4.default)

If it's not there, then create the file userChrome.css (note the capital C)

Paste the following piece of code in the file, save it and restart Firefox:

menubar > * { color: rgb(0,0,0) !important; }

#file-menu, #edit-menu, #view-menu, #go-menu, #history-menu, #bookmarks-menu, #tools-menu, #helpMenu { color: rgb(255,255,255) !important; }

This worked for me.

the above tip is only for fixing the font colour in Firefox menubar. I'm not sure about other issues, and would like set things right in OO menubar.

I forgot to mention, the buttons (controls?) are no longer working they don't get themed, also child windows (in synaptic, I've noticed so far) don't get themed. Keep up the brilliant work!!!

Awesome theme!!! I installed a few days ago and it was almost perfect (except the firefox and ooo thing), but installing the theme again (on a different pc) there are grey areas (borders) around the taskbar buttons etc. please change it back. (firefox and ooo work with the grey bar now though) yeah, I liked it better with the black bar. can you tell me how to change it myself, maybe?

Very nice work!

Two questions though:

(1) no fix for Firefox and OOo yet?

(2) how do you change the color of the menubar? the gtkrc (near the bottom) says "menubar-blue-deep" but all my menubars are black. changing this to some other style does not alter the menubars either, they remain black.

Guys!
I've tested the current version theme in firefox and openoffice

i've found the following troubles:

OPENOFFICE AND FIREFOX uses de same menu background black, but don't use the designed font for this, they use the fontcolor of the menus, so whis dont will work

Im trying to resolve this and will release a new version as fast i can do it!

For now, in firefox you can use any theme to firefox, then the theme will stay over the LiNsta Gnome theme.

you can download themes for you firefox here:

There is still a bug with firefox menu bar.

The font is black, and the background is black, so you can't see the menu.

This was presented awhile ago.

this is a firefox bug not a gtk one, and the work around is create a file named userChrome.css in your profile of firefox with this content:

cat mozilla/firefox/rw2zeuu4.default/chrome/userChrome.css
.menubar-text {
color: white !important;
}
