A theme based on the excellent Smooth engine. Some pixmap-engine used to gain "aqua effects".
I attempted to make an elegant theme that is intuitive and unobtrusive. Colors are subtle, focus hilighting has been improved and unified.
This theme looks really nice with the OpusOS metacity theme and Exquisite Icons.

MINOR REVISION - I tweaked the button pixmaps and made focus highlighting more consistant and pervasive.
I think this theme looks best with the "Exquisite" icon set and OpusOS metacity theme (as seen in the screenshot).
MAJOR REVISION - I've decided Smooth-Scooped will by default have no lines separating the toolbar and menubar. I just think it looks very nice this way. I did quite a bit of work extending focus behavior throughout all widgets. Menus, checks, entry boxes and colors have all been improved. I used colors exclusively from the gnome HIG. This is a big change from the original Smooth-Scooped, please delete or move any previous installation of Smooth-Scooped before upgrading.
Corrected submenu arrows, added gtkrc files as placeholders for future fixes.
Added a 2.2 version that has no lines dividing the menu and toolbar. Also toned down the scrollbars to match other widgets better. See the third screenshot.

I like the the focus ring touch on check buttons too. Really cool! Definitely and inspiration for my next theme. :-)
Cheers

Only the arrows indicating sub-menus are not very beautiful. And default buttons could maybe be highlightd "stronger".
Thanks,
Rob

in fact I feel it better than kde look, just a thing.... it's very very complicated to make it working for a newbie..
I tried and I think it will works, i've just have to install gtk+ to compile smooth.
Just one question more, are the windows shadows provide by something except gimp on the snapshot !! lol ;p
Thanks a lot for me to discover an other part of gnome

I made the button highlighting very subtle on purpose. One thing I'm happy with in this theme is that I've been able to make focus issues less "muddy" in gnome. Buttons have so many states that it's sometimes confusing. Here focus is indicated by the faint blue outline. Prelight isn't indicated in any way, my thinking being the mouse curser indicates which button will be pressed and an active state button will be indicated by 1) faint focus line 2) slightly "brighter" button.
