Description:

KGoogleApplet is a Kicker applet that allows you to search the web in a fast way, it embeeds into Kicker and shows an input box, type there your query and press Enter, it will take you to google and will show you the results.

Please offer this application as an rpm so it can be easily installed through RedHat Package Managers such as Yast in SuSE Linux.

I use Suse 9.1 - KDE 3.2
I installed the tar.gz - but I find no possibility to start the applet.

Right at the start of make:

Thanks for this brillant idea, the search bar of firefox is very usefull and missed me with Konqueror. And you added it more stuff (find word...). Thanks.I hope it will be in the next kde version.

I like to use alt+F2 and then type gg "word" to search from google. Much faster when you dont need take hands off from keyboard to move mouse to kicker.

If you want to search in an already active konqy window set up a keyboard shortcut to activate and clear the locationbar (personally I use alt+d).
If you want to search in an active konq hit alt+f2 and type gg: search word.

Voila..
