KMenu Big + Small Icon Feature
Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work): Add the source-code for this project on opencode.net
The KMenu is by defautl beautiful but due to "small" size icons it looks a bit cluttered, and Mouse movement has to be very precise to access a menu and/or submenu. And at Large Resolutions the menus and icons look rather *small*.
There is a Hidden feature in KMenu (kickerrc) to have Menu Entry Height called
By having Big icons in the Main kmenu is enhances the beauty. But The submenus with big icons do not look good. So, I wish that Submenus to also have different sizes for better and awesome KMENU.
open kickerrc and edit the line if not present just add one line as shown below iin section "menus"
---------------
[menus]
MenuEntryHeight=32
---------------
The But ONE cannot have different size for SUBMENUs which makes it rather useless feature. I have filed for a "SubMenuEntryHeight" feature, which will solve this problem.
Kindly vote for this feature if you like it.
Advantages:
1. KMenu looks good. (general look and feel)
2. More accessible (easy to reach) the menus due to easier recognization of *big* icons in main menu and small submenus (24x24 size)
3. Easier mouse movement (you don't have to be careful to don't let your pointer move above or below as with natural hand movement causing other submenu to popup - annoyance)
How to Install:
This is just my kickerrc file for KDE 3.4.x, make sure you backup your $HOME/.kde/share/config/kickerrc as say kickerrc.old for later restoration.
1. tar -zxvf *kickerrc.tar.gz
2. mv $HOME/.kde/share/config/kickerrc $HOME/.kde/share/config/kickerrc.old
3. cp kickerrc $HOME/.kde/share/config
4. run "killall -SIGTERM kicker && kicker" in run command
Please, Please do vote, it will improve KDE. Thanks.

Anyway, great idea, and let's hope they also place a configuration interface for it.
