if you have downloaded the deb package type in a konsole:

dpkg -i kio-sysinfo_1.3-3_i386.deb

In kubuntu simply click with the right button on the file and choose:

kubuntu package menu > install

some problems coming from System info..'cause version file is different in debian for example..
you cannot find any /etc/lsb-release..
maybe it can be /etc/issue..
we need a final version available for all distro..

Worked right out of the gate for me on Feisty Fawn using KDE 3.5.7.

Nice to have a return of a basic feature that should never have been removed by Kubuntu.

I like this, but it has a wrong layout. (Even in your screenshot)
The available space shold be the header of the free space, not of the filesystemtype.

i know, but i don't know how to fix this. i'm not able to modify the code.. if someone fix this, post the patched source code, thanks!

Obviously a table header is missing...
You have to edit sysinfo.cpp and modify line 288 in this way :

QString result = "<table><tr><th>&nbsp;</th><th>" + i18n( "Device" ) + "</th><th>" + i18n( "Filesystem" ) + "</th><th>" +
i18n( "Total space" ) + "</th><th>" + i18n( "Available space" ) + "</th></tr>";

Sorry, I don't have the time to test this but it should work.
