Description:

I commented a line in the widget-engine/liquid.cpp to remove the toolbuttons.

This looks alot cleaner/professional I think.

Also in the screenshot, I have ripped several IE 6 icons .. hey..they look alright dont they?? ;)

Hi!

Is it possible that liquid doesn't work correctly in kde 3.1beta2?

It compiled without any problem, but the buttons aren't display correctly (there's a gray rectangle around the button).

Hi...

Can anyone help me with this? I'm so new to Linux and am using Red Hat 7.3. After "make install", it didn't give me any error. I think I installed this sucessfully. However, I can't seem to find the way to chage to this theme. I tried to logout and login again, but there is no option to this theme. What should I do next?

Thanks

Joe

You should install autoconf (a tool to configure automatically),otherwise it won't work.

The way to do this trick in liquid 0.9.5 is quite different than in the 0.9.2 version.
You have to open the file liquid.cpp in the dir widget-style, then comment the line 2714.

//else drawClearBevel(p, r.x(), r.y(), r.width(), r.height(),sunken ? btnColor.dark(110) : hover ? btnColor : cg.background(), cg.background());

make install and enjoy. ^_^

Hi, I've installed the Liquid theme v0.94 but I'd like to get rid of the toolbutton backgrounds. I installed on Mandrake 8.2 and I don't get the configuration menu that I've heard about where I can change this.

I bet you (mosfet) are tired of hearing this but this theme simply owns all others. Beautiful! Slick! Excellent!
This should be the default kde3 look!
Good job! Keep it up!

There is one big problem with this style ... there is absolutely no visual feedback on what button is currently selected. To see what I mean, try opening KWord and roll your mouse over the toolbar buttons, e.g. Bold, Italic, etc. None of them get highlighted when the mouse is over them. This IMHO is a BIG deficiency and I think one of the reasons Mosfet made the toolbar buttons like they are ... Sorry, But i am going to stick with Mosfets original style for now.

Honestly, this was a good idea but Mosfet added this feature as optional and therefore this content will only confuse people once they download it and try to instlall it. It will add nothing to a users enjoyment of KDE or liquid it is now worthless. Please remove it so we will not have copies of the same content. It was great idea though!

I just wish this place would be admines there must be a million wallpapers that have nothing to do with the Linux community, yet nobody delted them.

It seems like Mosfet added an option in 0.9.4 to turn the toolbar button frames off. I find it a bit strange that they are on by default though. Can't everyone agree that the flat look is nicer? :)
