Description:

This is a development snapshot of iKons 0.7. It contains some small improvements and some new icons: new 48x48 mimetype icons, new menu icons and a new quickbrowser icon.

(Note: I promised new icons for a digital camera and a smart-media drive. These icons aren't yet included in this release, but will be in the near future)

It's in German, but the links should be pretty understandable. The top is talking about notebooks in linux. The bottom says that people can download for their own use but not redistribution. I used http://babelfish.altavista.com to translate the German.

It's a very good set of icons, in my opinion es very similar to windoze XP in some aspects but in general is very nice man. Congratulations for your work!.

The icons do look good... but i had a hard time looking at them because the wallpaper was so great!

Where did you get it? If you made it, would you share?

Im just waiting to see a new icon for kaddressbook. This one from kde is horrible (sorry) :-)

Hey, a while ago someone posted a fix for the problem that KDE 3.0 doesn't seem to replace the K menu icon when switching icon theme. The thing is, the "go.png" icon should be copied into "kmenu.png". Judging from the screenshot, you haven't done that in this version.
Note: I haven't tried this myself, so I can't guarantee it will do the trick.

Man, I've got that sitting on my HD (no, I didn't make it). There was a thead from another KLO submit that not only can I not remember which, I can't thin over where that pic came from. I'd upload it (and of course credit the artist once someone corrects me), but that's probably breaking a bucnk of "rules". I got the link from this site , because of myslef asking the same quextion you just did but I can't, for the life of me, remember with submit or URL it's from.

If I figure it out, I'll post again (if no one else does).

There's a small problem :
kborrey has a new adress, but on his new site, I could't find out how to download any version of iKons.
But I found solution: just change the "prefix" form http://users.skynet.be/kbusiness/ to http://users.skynet.be/kborrey/ and add the name of archive.
Simple said, to download iKons v 6.4 use this adress: http://http://users.skynet.be/kborrey/iKons_064.tar.gz

I really like your icons. They are very functional, good looking and non intrusive.

I only have one problem with the find icon, which is too similar to the zoom icons.

My suggestion is to reduce a bit the current icon for find and replace the foot prints for something resembling a document page.

As it is, it looks like a 3rd category for zoom.

great icon set... i like it and i use it... would be nice for some more app icons... i can't find any for open office, mozilla, xmms, and a few other programs that i'd like. it'd be cool if you could work on some of these for a future version of ikons...

Real nice icon for AVI files, and the Trashcan is finally back to normal. Pheew-eey. What can I say :)

The terminal icon for Konsole looks a bit... cartoonish, though.

It's great that we have a new windoze partiton icon! Now we finally need a new trash icon. And what happened to K (go) icon?
But, you need to improve iKons much more, because too much peolpe uses crystal now... Please add new icons for appz, devices, actions etc. which are "supported" by crystal (soffice, mozilla, netscape...).

I posted a screenshot demonstrating how to fix this "bug." Just make a copy of your go.png file and name it kmenu.png.

You could also make a link if you're really short on space :)

You know you can just hit Ctrl+Esc to get XKill up? You dont need an icon :)

There's one more suggetsion: we need new icon for windows partitions. May be combination of normal hard disk icon and xp-logo would look good.

The author of the Slick icon theme, Amibug, uses the name hdd_win. I think that's it.
