What i need to do, i get this error in console all the time, when i start program what use these icons.

kdecore (KIconLoader): WARNING: Icon directory /usr/share/icons/Sparkling/ group not valid.

I really like use this iconpack but i just dont like this error message even it dont effect anyway (i think so).

I've used a couple of icon sets now, but this is the one I like best up to now.

Even though it is quite blue :), the icons are still really distincive, and fresh-looking just the same. The only icon I'm not really happy with is the "Desktop" icon -- a "K" floating above some rectangle doesn't really fit the metaphor, I think.

But anyway, very nice work!

I think it is by far the best iconset.

The network_local icon has the globe on it too. I know it's being nitpicky, but aren't local and global kinda contridictory.

Not sure what would represent a local network mind.

forgot to mention...

I think the folder_bin icon should have on it the same symbol as you use for filesystems/exec, for the sake of consistancy.

Again, great icons.

A few sugestions...

Love the icon set - the biggest praise I can give is that I'm using it everyday on my desktop!

A couple of coments though.

The shadow on the folder icon, plus a few others, stops abruptly at the bottom edge of the icon. This looks a bit odd in a few cases.

The globe on the folder_html icon isn't too clear, Maybe a spash of green for the land?

The konsole icon is lovely, but just a monitor, so not completely obvious what it does. I'd sugest a subtle >$ or ># in the top-left to indicate the prompt, like in the Actions/openterm icon

The deb package icon is a bit cluttered with the full debian text. The swirl on it's own is prob recognisable enough.

Of course KDE has to be the priority, but how about some of the popular aps too? Almost everyone has gaim and a sub-theme of seperate icons for the openoffice programs would be nice.

Hope you don't think I'm being too critical with these points - great work!

This is why we were sad to hear you had decided to leave dude. What a magnificant Icon set, I can hardly wait until the download finishes!! (1.5Mbps/sec just isnt fast enough!!)

Please please please keep up this mind-blowing icon set.

Hey, I have to say I didn't think anything was going to make me change from the Crystal set of icons, but this did it!
I know you are doing this for free with little to no thanks, but do you plan on expanding the icon set to include things like, Knode, Dev tools, multimedia, etc?

Thanks for your time and effort. This icon set is great.

I was wondering what the new release will bring. Some icons were very challenging.

The "action tab" icons you have made are impressive whatever the icon size.

Great!

Are those "Thumbs.db" files required? I saw them in all the directories inside Sparkling/ Perhaps you can delete them all - will bring down the package size below 3 MB (tgz).

by the way, Good work.. and welcome back :-)

Very nice icons. They are simply awesome. I am really glad that you decided to continue with your theme.

Only minor comment I have is that the "editcut" icon sort of looks like a match-stick at 22x22 or lower. Thanks for your great work!

I run various version of KDE, 3.1.4, 3.1.5 and 3.2rc1 and it works fine. All you have to do is go to kcontrol, choose LookNFeel, Icons and install new theme. Do not unzip or untar the downloaded archive when installing. Hope this helps.
