Description:

This is a port to KDE of my icon theme for Gnome Vista-Inspirate (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=28352).

on my machine, there isn't any /kde/icons folder... 'd be nice to know, how to install this wonderful theme.

using kde 3.5

In your version (I've got the same probably) the Icons directory is under /usr/share/icons

If you copy the folder with the icon set into there and then start the icon section of the system settings the icon theme automatically apears.

nice, but it seems to me that the stylish firefox icon isn't included in the theme,
to which theme does it belong to?

not sure how much I would like to imitate vista though. surely kde (and gnome) should be differentiating itself through elegant innovation and originality!?

I've been trying to replace the Ubuntu icon on the K-menu with a Kbuntu icon. I've not been able to determine what icon I need to replace.

I've tried kmenu.png go.png ubuntu.png and ubuntu-logo.png in both 48x48 and 72x72 sizes. the desktop file indicates 72 is the default.

So I replaced all of those named icons with icons of the same name, but with the Kubuntu logo (in the appropriate sizes) in their places. However, I'm still getting the Ubuntu logo on the K menu.

I restart KDE every time as well.

Any ideas?

I've gotta say that when artists are um "borrowing" their icon styles AND the Linux-using public is eating them up, then it shows just how good the original work is.

The irony, is that it's Microsoft, the company (most) Linux users love to hate.

I loved nuoveXT but now I prefer this icon theme much more. I think it's still needed some modifications but anyway I think these icons are the best ones.

Actually you can't say this is a NuoveXT clone because both are cloning new Windows Vista icons. At least this one clearly admit he's work is inspired on next Microsoft official icon set.

Nice looking icons, but how come the default folder icon is blue and all the rest of the special icons (Documents, etc) are brown? Makes for a not-so-attractive mismatch.

I think so, too.
The icons look GREAT! But the brown folders in the K-menu do not really match. Maybe you should change them to the same look the others have... Just a suggestion...
But nevertheless: I love it!!!
