Colour scheme for KDE based on the new FreeKDE.org website design by Rik Hemsley.

Screenshot 1 shows the colour scheme with the ModSystem kwin decoration, dotNET widget style and iKons iconset using KDE 3 CVS. But since it's a colour scheme, it should look the same under KDE 2. Screenshot 2 shows the updated version of the colour scheme, fixing a bug with dotNET buttons.

finally, just your screenshot tells me that beta1-version of KDE3 delayed for 1 week, argh, why kde.org doesn't tell anything about that, or am i blind.. anyway, nice theme..

So what happens when you add the applets back one at a time? I don't use any of the others, but I can definitely add and remove the logout/lock button applet separately

.. there is no system tray, none of them is displayed until I reopen the system tray applet.

It seems that the Mail Monitor, Klipper & Korganizer need the system tray, and I don't find the way to remove the logout/lock buttons from there.

To remove the logout button, just right click on the edge of it and select remove. As far as I'm aware,there's no way to keep the lock button - so both will disappear at the same time....

... for me. It just removes the whole system tray (not only the logout and lock, but all the applets: mail monitor, ...)

In KDE 2.x I can remove the logout button from my taskbar, so that doesn't prove anything.

However, looking at Noatun it seems VERY like the menu style in the KDE 3.x screenshots! (Solid bar up the side)

Either way I must admit I think it looks fantastic!!!

Could you tell me how you could remove the logout button? (hope not recompiling the code)

I never use it, and it doesn't look very stylish to me to have it besides the other systray icons. I mean... it's just taking space out!

I think this section is for KDE 2.x.... and I cannot be sure, but isn't that KDE 3 CVS? There's a slight difference in appearence of the taskbar, and that last icon.... monopoly (or whatever is called)?

Please show appearence on KDE2.x, and don't try to fool us!

fact remains that you CAN'T see it's kde3, since kde2 CAN have this behaviour, so stop flaming, it's pointless..

let's just enjoy the scheme (which pretty much rocks, to my opinion :-)

You CAN see it's KDE 3 because the system tray has no lock/logout icons. And this is only seperated in KDE 3 (and some early KDE 2 development snapshots).

anyway, since these buttons aren't there, they obviously don't give us a false impression.. :-) still is a viable shot to my opinion..

... it's just a color scheme, but please let us know first if the screenshot is from CVS! Otherwise people make mistakes.

For ex., as soon as I saw there were no separator lines in the taskbar I thought somebody had changed the DotNet style he mentions. That's a "feature" I'm waiting for since ong ago (my laptop is 800x600 and a few lines add space). Of course I updated my DotNet... what a deception. This guy was "lying me".

I guess that's a new feature for the CVS version.

I don't mind if people puts CVS version screenshots, but please indicate that properly.

You won't gain any space with it, they are not gone but just not visible.

It's a hidden feature since 2.0, you can enable it by putting

FadeOutAppletHandles=true

in your kickerrc file.

And yes, I'd post 2.x screenshots if I still had it installed. But hey, it's about the colours, not the rest of the look!
