2. cannot highlight multiple files to open w/ right-click context menu
drag and drop is the only way to open multiple files at a time.
is this how the program was written or is this a glitch that only i'm experiencing?
how do i config the program to add multiple files at a time? i would like to add files through "open with" right-click context menu and to add all files w/ in a folder when double-clicking on a single file (non-recursively). i love the simplicity of the player interface and how fast it opens up, but unusable at current functionalities.

System settings -> file associations -> audio/mpeg.
SimpleAudioPlayer would have to appear in the list of programs.
Another method: Use of SimpleAudioBowser.
Select the desired directory, press Ctrl+A then Ctrl+P.

SimpleAudioPlayer would have to appear in the list of programs.
- already tried this; I have manually set all audio files to use SimpleAudioPlayer and have it as the first program on the "Application Preference Order" (most files in my library are mp3 files, save for a few FLAC files)
Quote:Another method: Use of SimpleAudioBowser.
Select the desired directory, press Ctrl+A then Ctrl+P.
- this defeats the purpose of using a simple audio player if you have to run a separate window just to play music files; I would rather just use Dolphin w/ my preconfigured visual interface and settings
I CAN:
1. highlight multiple files w/in a folder to open w/ SimpleAudioPlyer
2. drag and drop files/folders (works recursively as well, although the speed at which the player starts playing the files slows down proportionately to the number of files and sub-folders w/in)
I CANNOT:
1. select multiple files and folder(s) to play together (only the files directly selected will play and the folder will be ignored with the error message "This files are not valid sound files" for the folder)
2. using the "open with" option doesn't work at all, doesn't matter if there are sub-folders w/in the original folder to play files recursively or not (error message "This files are not valid sound files")
- even when I get the above error message, I can go into a folder and double-click a single file to play it properly w/ SimpleAudioPlayer (the error message only pops-up when selecting folder to play from the right-click context menu)

I hope the program works correctly now.

Is there any way to modify few functions or ask that it be added in the next update if possible?
1. adding all files w/in a folder to the active playlist when double-clicking on a single file
2. keeping the playlist active w/out having to keep all files w/in the playlist highlighted
thank you for all your efforts thus far... trying to find a simple player like this is rare in kubuntu/kde for some reason.

Maybe isn't a bug, but for me is a little weird behaviour:
When you don't have a song selected (blue highlighted), the next and the previous button are disabled,no matter that you have more songs in the list.
