kicker applet for ding libraries. does not require ding (but grep ;) you can get a package of dings from the gnome-ding project (button in the config dialog) usage is simple: either hover the applet and start typing after the bar appears or select a text with the mouse and leftclick the applet supports independent default languages for the click and the type search, acces to multiple dictionaries (including thesaurus), reverse search and a nice frontend including a skinnable applet icon the most probably result is exposed, any other can be clicked to be placed in the label todo: code cleanup, kspell support

This helped in my case. However kding 0.3.1 crashes kicker everytime I try to insert it. I use SuSe 9.3 Professional with KDE 3.4. If you want I can submit you the backtrace.
