ATTENTION BIG CHANGES

The biggest change in this release is how you compile / execute the program. These changes have been made to end a number of bugs attributed to improper installation files used by the application.

So after get the source and unpack ... run in console:

qmake or qmake-qt4 2ManDVD.pro 2ManDVD.pro (on fedora)
make

and finally:

sudo make install

And I stress the make install (as root)

Then you can start the application from your main menu (kde & gnome tested)

Great App and great job!

My video and Audio aren't syncing. mandvd used have an audio sync 'jigger' I can't seem to find the equivalent in 2mandvd. Am I missing something?

I made a DVD with 2 videos (.avi)
I added an introduction video and one animated menu. Then I added 2 buttons (with no thumbnail but with only text). All worked fine and I burnt a .iso image.
When I tried my DVD in my player I couldn't select the 2nd button with the remote control (the 1st one worked fine). I tried to order in Menu->Tabulation order but didn't know how to order right

Can someone help me?

2ManDVD works extremely well except for the fact that every DVD I burn with it has audio issues (the video is behind the audio). I understand that in ManDVD, you could resolve this issue, but ManDVD does not work on my computer (always burning errors). If there is a way to fix the audio, please let me know :)

It's probably because your input file are not in mpeg2 format.
In mandvd there was a possibility to adjust the audiotrack... it will be back in a next release.
For the moment use avidemux (for example) to reencode to MPEG2 (DVD)

how can i manage the language file location in the 2ManDVD.pro file.
the location should be e.g.
/usr/share/2ManDVD/translations

The german languag only works, if the languag file are located in /usr/bin

/usr/bin/2ManDVD
/usr/bin/2mandvd_de.qm
/usr/bin/2mandvd_en.qm
/usr/bin/2mandvd_ru.qm

the program-file must be in
/usr/bin
and the language-files must be in
/usr/share/2mandvd

ok, i have changed my rpm build, so that
the language Files are played in /usr/share/2mandvd, but 2ManDVD starts only in french language.

rpm -ql | 2ManDVD

I think it have something todo with Fedora, specifically with qt-4.5.
As mentioned on this side http://www.opendesktop.org/content/show.php?content=99450&forumpage=1&PHPSESSID=7efb689ff434dd9bf366bed758216c51
it is possible to modify the 2ManDVD.pro, so that a special targed could be definded for the language file. But i don't know how to handle this.

Yes if we have a tool for that on linux ... dvdauthor only support DVD for now but ...

Hi,
I compiled everything successfully and the program works well, except when I try to create preview pictures of the movie for the menue. When I try to do this, a window comes up showing me pictures from the movie (looks cool), but after the initial motion I have no clue how to scroll through the pictures to choose one. Mouse? Keyboard? how?

And: I usually like to choose a picture from the movie showing the title. In old ManDVD it was easy by waiting for the right second, create a screenshot (with your photo icon) and save it. How can I do this in 2ManDVD?

If you use the german version.... :-(((( My mistake. I translated too much. I corrected it, and it will usable in next version. If you making a right click of a video and choosing "Miniaturbild des Video" the window, you mentioned, will come up and you will see three buttons then: preview, ok and next. So you can browse through all pictures and select a appropiate one.

Therefor you go to your medias. Click one media and then choose "Kapitel erstellen". A new window will come up and will show you the video. Under the video you can see a few buttons. The second one from left is showing a cuttor. Click this and you can save your screenshot as a jpg-file.
