Ok, it's perfect using UserAgent="Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:9.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0"

Thanks! :D

Added PPA:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nowrep/qupzilla
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qupzilla

Install from PPA even if you are using 1.0.0 stable, PPA is containing development snapshot with a lot of improvements and also Speed Dial :-)

What about HTML5, is video tag supported?

Report

C

It depends on your qtwebkit version, if it's higher or equal to 533.3 then yes :-)

Report

It says here: "WebKit version 533.3"
But there is no HTML5 video or audio support. :/

What is your os? It may be only missing codec ... test it here: http://www.html5test.com

It's Arch Linux, and I did the test, and it says my browser does not support HTML5 video tag. I guess this is webkit related, but I don't know how to upgrade it without upgrading QT to 4.8rc.

Well, it would be very hard if not impossible. The only solution is probably to build qtwebkit by yourself against Qt 4.7, because as far as I know all available qtwebkit 2.2 bulilds (latest version) are built against Qt 4.8.

To my joy I saw this feature being added in the latest updates.

But unfortunately it doesn't work for me. Tried it with rekonq, firefox, chromium.

The wizard gets stuck and no matter how long I wait, nothing seems to happen.

Only Firefox, Chrome and Opera are supported now. Can you please send detailed information, did you choose the right file (as wizzard suggest you?)
Maybe you can open issue on github to keep comments here clean.
Thank you

Hi,

I've tested QupZilla on a WeTab (Pegatron/ExoPC clone)
with the small distribution I'm maintaining.

The missing features you are mentioning are
implemented via easystroke and gestures.

Integrating Vkeybord would not only be useful for
tablet users but for 'normal' users also, because
using vkeyboard e.g. for keying in the pin in an
online banking portal would block keyloggers.

If a user uses vkeyboard with the touchpad/mouse
they could only log the position of the mouse pointer on the screen.

Thus the users critical data are save.

Just my 0.02$ ;)

Hi,

congrats to your fine work!

Would it be possible to integrate the virtual keyboard widget from
http://qt-apps.org/content/show.php/VirtualKeyboard?content=107388?

This would lead to a small and speedy browser for tablet usage...

Regards, Quax

Hi,
that will surely be possible, but I think that missing virtual keyboard is not the only needed thing to make QupZilla work well on tablets.
Unfortunately I don't own any, so I can't test QupZilla usability there.

Hi,
take a look at some theme css.
For example chrome theme (bin/themes/chrome/main.css), you can find style for #mainwindow-menubar.

Some first feedback:
-QupZilla is really fast!! And so many features for a 1st release!
-Crashes when using flash

Features request:
-Easy addition of new searchengines
-Some way to import bookmarks

Thnx for this app and your help! Keep up the g00d work! =)

Hi,
is QupZilla crashing on every page with flash, or it just crash sometimes?
Also what version of flash player you are using?

Thank You for your package, I added now "make install", sou You no longer need to move files manually (as long as /usr/bin for executable is ok)

I used the make install parameter but I got the errors below.
I had similar issues before and the only way I found to work around this was using the series of commands in the PKGBUILD I pasted in the comment above.
About flash, it was a false report, sorry. All works and it wasn't a qupzilla issue.

ps: if you are interested of adding webgl support have a look at http://trac.webkit.org/wiki/QtWebKitWebGL

Quote:==> Starting build()...

Looks cool, the four thsi app.

Any plans to add extension support? I think nowadays a web-browser needs this and it should be a standard feature.
Would be cool to be able to use Firefox and/or Chromium Extension. Beside the general usefulness of extensions in a browser, this feature would really add a lot of popularity to your browser because no other browser has Firefox/Chromium extension support so far.

Hello,
thank you for your suggestions.
I have already made initial work on plugins, but it still needs some work to do.
But I am afraid, that QupZilla will never support Firefox addons. If we are talking about Chrome addons (based on HTML and JavaScript), then there is a chance of make it happen, but not in nearly future.
