Description:

Graphite-Orange theme for the QtCurve for KDE and Domino's styles, with a slim windeco for Beryl. If you don't use QtCurve, Domino and/or Beryl you can make it perfect for the styles and windecos of your choice with little mods.

This is the original Black-Orange.qt theme completely remade. My objective is to create a modern 'graphite like' look for your desKtop with touchs of beautiful colors, easy to the eyes and compatible with the most popular and advanced KDE styles around. In Beta3 only QtCurve 4K and Domino are supported.

Below is where the archives of this pack have to be loaded:

- domino_graphite-orange_b08_centertabsrc: Load it at the Domino's style setup. Use this if you want a 'smoothglass' look to your desK.
- Graphite-Orange B02-1.qtcurve: This load at QtCurve for KDE style. Use it to your desK get a 'dullglass' look.
- Graphite-Orange.domino-03F.kcsrc: The basic colors of this theme. Load it with KDE Colors.
- SlateHorn_Green.mod-alien.emerald: The recommended windeco to use with this theme. Load it with Emerald Theme Manager (Beryl).
- font.zekton.tar.gz: The recommended font to use with this theme.
- Graphite-Orange.konqueror.backgrounds.tar.gz: Aditional backgrounds for Konqueror file manager.
- Graphite-Orange B03qt.kth: Config file for KDE Theme-Manager*.

Hope you like it, and sorry my poor english.

*ATENTION: ALWAYS save your current configurations before installing any other Theme-Manager theme. THIS theme is optmized to 1600x1200 resolution, so if your res. is different than that you'll need to make some adjusts for yours, like fonts and icons sizes for example.

Here are the links for the complete theme-pack and all of its pieces in separate.

A BIG thanks to MediaFire (www.mediafire.com) for host my files!

PS: If you can't download the pack hosted on MediaFire, try the alternative link (SendSpace).

it's more a theme manager theme, or something, right? a theme/style is a c++ engine for buttons, tabs, menu's, etcetera. you'r 'style' uses QtCurve for that...

now i agree theme/style might not be the right name (it should be widgetstyle or something) but in any case, this is the wrong category.

everytime somebody posts a new 'theme/style' i'm happy, and eager to test - only to find it it's just a colorscheme with a wallpaper and a non-kde window decoration or something...

pls, not that i don't like you'r work, but it doesn't belong in this category. can you change it, or at least don't do it again?

"now i agree theme/style might not be the right name (it should be widgetstyle or something) but in any case, this is the wrong category"

Thanks Superstoned, put it back to Color Schemes category!

About the scheme in other styles, when the time allow I'll experiment and make the appropriate adjustments in Keramik, Klearlook, Plastik and Polyester, and I'll put the screens of the confs here.

I made the shadow green here, but I don't liked the result. But was a fast test, maybe with others hue/saturation/light variations the green fits good. I'll try later :-)

Thanks by the patience and the tips!

nice. maybe you can make it a theme manager theme, tough i'm not sure if that captures the qtcurve settings. most likely not... you could put it in that category, tough, as it's a bunch of settings for kde style and stuff, so it would fit there. color scheme isn't bad either.

anyway, about the shadow, i did suggest green (not try it myself, tough) because it might make everything look less busy, you know? green and orange do contrast a bit. (yeah understatement). orange is already very present in your theme, and enough i'd say.

i'd like to add to this that i DO like the style, it's rather cool actually :D
maybe you could experiment with polyester instead of qtcurve? and i'd make the shadow green, not orange.
