Then I would point to a conflict with Python. When executing a program with vlc.py, the following two error messages are generated:
"Der Prouedureinspringpunkt "pl_Get" wurde in der DLL "C:\Programm Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\plugins\srpos\libsrpos2086_plugin.dll" nicht gefunden."
und
"Der Prouedureinspringpunkt "pl_Get" wurde in der DLL "C:\Programm Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\plugins\srpos\libsrpos2186_plugin.dll" nicht gefunden."
If these two messages are clicked away, the program works correctly.

Local drive/users/name/appdata/roaming/vlc/spros.ini
Once any video is finished I just set each beginning number to 0.0. No watches to the very end of the video. If you don't reset them then, if you come back to a series and watch it again, each one will start with the end credits.

1. go to the opensuse page
2. up in the middle places of the openuse page is a search box
3. click on the green opensuse logo and change it to "software’s"
4.type in the box: "srpos" and install your variant
5. then on vlc Tools> Preference> at the bottom of the window at Show Settings> click the "All " option and go to "Interface> Control Interfaces and check SAVE/RESTORE POSITION OF THE LAST PLAYED FILES

Their player, also MediaGo, continues from where I stopped. Those players are nonsense, VLC is probably the best player, but does not have mentioned feature. I have a long playlist, it does not start with the item I listened to. When clicking this item, this addon works as expected!
No need to remember the time-stamp...a very time-saving addon. I am using the previous version, Twoflower. The newest release is not convincing because when hovering over the playlist small windows are always popping up, seems impossible to stop that!?
Strong recommendation for this addon!

At least on my computer I have to go to "Preferences" and click on "Save" button on every VLC session. If I don't do this VLC won't remember last position.
