At his place there is a light-gray as uniform color #ededed.
I tried to delete the theme , re-download and install it, still the same. Is like a curse, "you must not have the desktop as you like" LOL.

If you use the scaling in Plasma you will go in this issue. After you pass the 100% in settings>hardware>display>scaling the transparency and the skin theme will go away. (At least at reboot)
For a 32" K4 don use the scaling is impossible.
If I'm not wrong on the 2K I was using 125% of scaling, so must be some update that brought into this issues.
By the way the pattern of the brushed metal is for lower resolution than 2K. On the left (and right) of dolphin's shell you can see how the pattern interrupt and restart with the light gray tone.
Would be very nice to have it uniform as a symmetric pattern so that it can reproduce it self without generate any junction.
This theme , right now , work only at 100% scaling...

I have not enabled Transparent Dolphin View in Kvantum Manager Hacks. Also, I am not scaling. The global scale is set to 100% in Display Settings. Instead, I get around this by increasing font DPI under Settings > Appearance > Fonts. I am using 144 DPI for Fonts and everything is readable.
Hope this helps.

(ps: If you enlarge dolphin at full screen you'll see the background repeat.)
