Description:

A freebsd port for ksplash-ml. Unpack somewhere and make install as root. make sure you have a ports tree to begin with. :)

NOTE: FreeBSD only. Oh, and another thing: THIS WILL OVERWRITE YOUR OLD ksplash BINARY. BACK IT UP FIRST! It's usually located at /usr/local/bin/ksplash. Just move it out of the way before you install this.

This port will be included in the official ports tree soon. In the mean time, you can get it here as well. Just so you know some people think about you FreeBSD KDE users as well...

Oh and another thing. Please don't bug me if there's a bug in ksplash-ml. I'm not the author of it. I just made a port. If there's something wrong with the port itself (i.e. download failed) then you can bug me :)

Hey it looks really really really cool and you shoud continue the good job!
There is one problem, when customizing the "kde splash screen" in control center for example the default or macclassic, the settings or changes you made are not saved and ignored! I changed the splash screen image, clicked Icons jumped... etc ok -apply etc, no changes when I when back to control center the default were restored.

That's not really my problem, since I didn't write ksplash-ml, I only amde a FreeBSD port for it. Heck, it's not even in my hands anymore, since the FreeBSD-KDE maintainers are now fixing up my port for inclusion in the ports tree.

I have that behaviour too. It's a bug in ksplash-ml. Bug the author :)

Posting (not yet official) ports to kde-look for freebsd?

This is just a test to see if there's demand for it.

You can generate a freebsd package for pkg_add easily by doing a 'make package' in the port dir. Aren't ports cool? :)

I do have a package ready. Just holler if you want it, and I'll upload it.
