Description:

Pornhub URL parser. This one actually works!

To install, download the pornhub.lua file and place it in the following directory, depending on your operating system:

on Windows:

C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\vlc\lua\playlist\

on macOS:

/Users/(your username)/Library/Application Support/org.videolan.vlc/lua/playlist/

on Linux:

~/.local/share/vlc/lua/playlist/

Note that you may have to create some directories in the path if they don’t exist.

Hi!
I need 1280x720 default with VLC. Now lua file opens 1920x1080 only. My old PC hang up with FullHD. How to change the lua file code? Help, please.

Hi, you can limit the maximum resolution by using the "Preferred video resolution" setting of VLC. You can find it in Tools → Preferences → All settings → Input / Codecs.

10 Latest update works great :) For people looking forward to rewatching without wasting bandwith or smth, here are the steps for persisting the videos locally:
1. Open a PH link - make sure the total duration is as expected.
2. View the playlist
3. Right-click the desired PH entry
4. Choose Stream -> Add a file -> Pick a conversion method (I use a custom preset with just a copy of the video and audio tracks to save time and preserve quality) -> Stream.
5. You will notice that a new entry has been added to the playlist. Double-clik it.
6. Wait for the operation to finish :)

There is one improvement that can be made and that is to use save, instead of Stream. It will always save the full duration.

Thanks for that! I'm running into a weird issue with the PH parser right now though. Let's say I open an .m3u playlist with the file paths in it. A PH file will load but with a truncated running time. A 13 minute scene might come up as 3 minutes or whatever. However, if I then manually open/add the same URL in VLC using Open Network Stream the right time will come up and the file will play to its actual end. This doesn't seem to happen with all urls though, so that is doubly confusing to me. Not sure if it's anything that could be done via the parser though...

One further detail: when the file is loading it will show the right time, but then revert to the incorrect one.

I tried creating a playlist with some random videos and they show the correct time for me, could you send me the m3u file that you are using? Or upload it somewhere and post a link here.

is this still working? when I try to paste the location URL in a browser, it automatically asks if I want to save it as a M3U8 file. it also doesnt play the whole video but only the first few minutes.

It's working for me, you just need to paste a video link in VLC, not in a browser.

Yes, I'm able to stream onto VLC and watch the video there, but I mean trying to download the video. If I go to the VLC media information and copy/paste the URL there into a browser, I don't get the option to download the video. Is there any other way to download?

If you want to download a video you can try using the convert/save function of VLC, in Media -> Open Network Stream -> click the arrow next to Play and choose Convert. I don't know how well it works though.

After installation you just need to go to Media -> Open Network Stream and paste a video link there.
