Description:

The hottest clock around!
· Formats not found in any other clock, including custom!
· Disable the separator with a simple check box!
· Option for manual font size!
· Correctly calculated width at any time and date!
· Manual spacing and offsetting!
· Everything on one single line, no more two-liners where you can't read anything!

This clock started when the KDE digital clock would need spacer trickery and set off things badly. It now has become a highly customizable plasmoid that will fit great with any desktop.
Last changelog:

v3.1 9 months ago

- fixes padding not pushing other widgets correctly, resulting in unexpected overlap
- fixes AM/PM label messing with padding additionally

- Spacing option now changes all spaces including outer padding
- Added config option to disable calendar view borders

I love your desktop! I already downloaded your window decorations and folder icons, but I am wondering how did you get different looks for your dolphin and your konsole?

If anybody is asking this to themselves, it's a custom script that can not be downloaded through opendesktop. I would've released it long ago ;)

I have a problem: it seems like the horizontal spacing is not enough to display the entire date. It doesn't matter what date format I chose, the last digit always get cut in the middle.... Would it be possible to add the option to display time first and date later? Also, to use a custom separator?

David, it took me some time to actually be able to reproduce this, and for me it only happened with mixed hour format. But actually I just tried to reproduce it again and can not force it anymore? It may have been a bug with KDE that got fixed rather? Is this still true for you?

I have the same issue as the "M" in "PM" and "AM" is always cut down the middle due to a lack of enough space. Using latte-dock version 0.9.85. Using custom date with "ddd, MMM d". Changing font and font size does work correctly, but the "M" is still cut off no matter what I do. If I used a condensed font and horizontal offset I can get nearly everything to fit. Interesting, using a timezone makes everything fit ok, but I don't want to show timezone. Using plasmashell 5.18.5. Lastly, date/time when experiencing issue: "Sat, Jun 20 10:54 PM". Let me know if you have more questions, and a fix would greatly be appreciated. (want github issue?)

Previous version didn't have the bug with a "regular" KDE panel. Version 3.0 fixed the issue in latte-dock panels and KDE panels still works correctly as well. Thanks!

9 9 excellent! Beautiful alternative and good work! Unfortunately, Kubuntu 18.04 does not work, since it requires QtQuickControls 2.3 / 2.4. On my other partition with Opensuse Tumbleweed works perfect. Congratulations!

I invite everyone to test v2.0 it's got bug fixes and very nice unique options for every desktop situation! (Except vertical panels you know...)

I like the simplicity of this plasmoid but unfortunately the preferable format is a hard coded en_US (or en_GB) format (in DE we write DDD, d. MMMM). It would be nice to just add "custom" format but my experience in qml is 0 and though I just can fork it and change the hardcoded value...

QML seems not to be so complicated as I thought. I'm wondering why the qmlc files are commited and why they are not changing maybe you can explain it in the PR.

3 I can't change the timezone without changing the system timezone, which isn't what I want. In my case, II need to add an alternate clock to keep track of other time zones.

Hello bluekde. I hear you. This is a special use case. This widget is based on the kde system clock plasmoid and therefore not adequate for the job you describe, as almost any other clock widget. This is very unusual but I think it is a niche and maybe I'll write one in the future because I like the idea. Greetings.

9 excellent there is one thing that can be better, and thats the events list. sometimes events from an .ical has a lot of extra information, like links to various things, where to buy tickets etc, which makes everything very cluttered. there should be an option to strip those out. event calendar has that option, you can untick 'show event desctiption' or something like that. im hoping you can implement that in better inline clock as well. thanks !

I like this better because allows me to adjust the ridiculous sized font of the default digital clock. However there is a minor glitch in the widgets selection it has no image. just a null red circle. thanks!

Honestly, I'm not sure what makes this "better" than the standard KDE clock.
