Description:

Ariake Icons Themes

The Ariake GTK theme is based on the color scheme for code editors such as: VSCode, Atom, etc ...
To match my editor with the desktop and to give a uniform appearance, I ventured to create this theme and put the predominant colors of the Ariake color scheme to the GKT theme and to the icon theme too.
This is my first GTK theme for the Gnome Desktop, I hope you like it and give me a vote if you liked this work.

Installation

Local

To install the icons is the same procedure that we do with GTK themes.
First we activate the view of the hidden files to find, in this case, the .icons directory, remember that if the directory is not found you can create it and then put the icon themes into the .icons directory and voila, the icons are ready to be used.

Root
You can also place the icons in the root directory as with the GTK themes and thus apply the themes for the applications run as root user and it is available to all users who are registered in the OS, in case there is more than one user.
And it is the same procedure as for GTK themes, the difference is that you must place the icon themes in the following path: /usr/share/icons and then they will be available to be used by all users.

¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬

Well, this is my first contribution of GTK themes and I hope you like it, vote if you liked it, and if you don't like it you can give recommendations instead of negative votes.

Enjoy!! };-]

@nullpointer00 Yes, I suppose there are a lot of icons missing, this package is based on "Suru ++" and apparently has not been updated for a while, in fact I noticed that with some applications that I use daily and had no icon, especially in packages "Snap" and "Flatpak" so I've been doing some research and will try to fix the issue soon as I need to learn how to make these icons as similar as possible.

Again, thank you for your support and reporting these errors ;-]

Hi!

That's why I only reported applications that have standard packages in official repositories (at least in my Linux distribution). Flathub is not an official repository of any distribution, so you are not supposed (nor anybody can expect) to have an icon for all and each one of the applications at Flathub. I just used Flathub hyperlinks for a quick look of the icon.

I noticed that Oracle SQL Developer's icon is not missing, which is very unusual. I guess that you're also a software developer, as I am, that's why I suggested to include Oracle SQL Data Modeller to you, as well.

Finally, Shortwave is a an excellent replacement for gradio, but his creator hasn't still created a rpm or a deb. We'll have to cope with the flatpak app a little longer... :(

Again, excellent work!

Regards.

Greetings, @nullpointer00.

In fact there are distributions with official Flatpak repository, for example: Pop_OS !, the distro that I currently use, apart from its PPAs as official repositories, has Flatpak as secondary official repository, in the store, when the ".deb" package is missing, you can install the Flatpak package, which is why I have noticed that in Flatpak packages there are not many icons found in the "Suru ++" icon package, but I will try to fix the problem as soon as possible ;-]

10 The following are missing icons of applications which are in Fedora's repositories as standard rpms (I don't know if they will be available as standard packages in other distributions), but I provide flathub hyperlinks for a quick look:
- Drawing (https://flathub.org/apps/details/com.github.maoschanz.drawing).
- Foliate (https://flathub.org/apps/search/foliate)
- Extensions (https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.gnome.Extensions)
- GHex (https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.gnome.GHex)
- Video Downloader (https://flathub.org/apps/details/com.github.unrud.VideoDownloader)
GNOME's missing icons:
- gnome-abrt
Only Flapak/Snap app's missing icons:
- Shortwave (https://flathub.org/apps/details/de.haeckerfelix.Shortwave)
Other missing icons:
- Oracle SQL Data Modeler (https://www.oracle.com/database/technologies/appdev/datamodeler.html)
- Books folder (see papirus-icon-theme)
Bugs.
Bijiben in GNOME is org.gnome.Notes, so a symlink to stickers.svg is missing in all variants.
