KDE's Align to Grid sucks. It seems way over-engineered and
non-configureable. Why can't they make a simple grid and just stick to it?
Just align the icons to the grid manually. Avoids KDE trying to re-order
Create '/opt/kde/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/lineup.desktop' with:
[Desktop Action alignIcons]
Name=Align Desktop Icons
Exec = /usr/local/bin/kdeiconalign.sh
Create '/usr/local/bin/kdeiconalign.sh' with:
dcop kdesktop KDesktopIface lineupIcons
Right click on any icon on the desktop and select 'Align Desktop Icons'
from the 'Actions' submenu.
Would have been nice to append this to the 'Icons' submenu of the default
'Desktop Menu' but that too seems to be un-necessarily non-configurable.
