Blue Glass XCursors 3D
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work): Add the source-code for this project on opencode.net
The same animated cursors as in my 'Golden Xcursors 3D' theme, but this time rendered with a bluish, transparent material.
Maybe this one fits better into the brighter desktop themes than the golden one.
Installation:
Copy the two folders 'Blue' and 'default' to your ~/.icons directory and
restart your X-Server.
If you want to have bigger cursors, you have to create an .Xdefaults file
in your home directory and insert the following two lines:
Xcursor.theme: Blue
Xcursor.size: 48
The default size is 32.
That's it!
Note: If the animations are flickering on your nvidia card with the latest
driver, add the following line to your XF86Config file, into the nvidia
device section, to fix it:
Option "HWCursor" "off"

Except for the text cursor, as it is too faint and I lose it very easily when I'm working with text files (it seems like several people are having this issue). However, I did develop a way around that. First, find another theme with a cursor you like and download it. Then go to your home folder, then .icons/ (view hidden files), find the Blue cursor theme and make a backup of the file named xterm (I just copied it to another folder). Then find the same file in the theme that you downloaded and paste it into the .icons/$THEME folder, replacing the one before it. Restart the X server (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace) and you should be good to go. In the event that the new theme doesn't have an icon called xterm, you should figure out which one it is and rename it as such. Note that this technique should be able to be used to completely customize your mouse theme by picking and choosing each cursor type you want from several different themes!

Any chance of getting this in purple?
Also, the "text" cursor is a little too thin, easy to lose.

* 3D cursors are very nice, but - as you have written in changelog, you made it less animated, but I like the old animations :-D, would you make a version for me whit animation (I suggest quarter rotate on one side and half rotate on the other side)?
Thank you,
and keep on good work :-p

While I'm on the topic, does anybody know where I can get a blue version of the Whiteglass/Redglass themes?

just one thing. These cursors are beautiful, but some of them (e.g : the hand pointer) are flickering. So, i modified my XF86Config and XF86Config-4 files, but no result. no changes. What can i do?
thanks.

I'm very impressed of these cursor theme so I want to install it global. I don't have this folder /usr/lib/X11/icons, so where could it be? I have created the missing folder but this didn't work. I'm using gentoo linux.
Hope that someone can help me ;-).
