Pidgin Oignon Head emoticons

Various Gnome Stuff by krs 7 comments

Using gui:
-Open up the directory you downloaded it to (usually Desktop)
-Right click file > Extract here
-Right click the resulting folder (OnionHead) > cut
-Open up Nautilus > Ctrl L > type in ~/.purple/smileys > hit enter > On the toolbar > Edit > Paste

Then go to your Pidgin Buddy List > Tools > Preferences > Smiley Themes > Select Ognion Head

OR

In a terminal:
cd Desktop (or wheverever you downloaded the file)
unzip 71616-OnionHead.zip
mv OnionHead > ~/.purple/smileys

Do the bit with the Pidgin Buddy List

Could you provide the source images so that users with widescreen resolutions can just compile their own usplash? Actually, providing the entire source would be cool too. If that's not possible, please come out with version 0.3 soon. :) - Jan 02 2009

I've confirmed this, fluxbox has to be compiled with imlib in order to read .png files, once I did that, it worked. However, it is good practice to convert your pixmaps into .xpm so that everyone can use the theme off the bat. - Jun 01 2008

I think the reason the theme is not working is that the images are .png, try converting them to pixmaps. - Jun 01 2008
