Karamba & Superkaramba by Lechio 80 comments

Well, the main reason is because it is
only a superkaramba script :)
It is open to ports to the amarok script
format. If anyone feels like porting it,
please feel free to do so, as the work is
under GPL license. - May 04 2005

Video Players by eean 277 comments

I understand that amarok is intended to be a music player, however other players provide the option of video playback. And it is a very good idea, besides music there are also videoclips. Since amarok can use xine engine it would be great if it had the video playback option, this little app could do it. Any chances of seeing that happen? Tanks - Mar 23 2005

Yes it does take some CPU charge to the system. Mainly because of the DCOP calls needed to display current track time. That will be corrected and new features added on next update, using a python only theme. For now time display is commented by default. - Mar 17 2005

First comment reply: album pics are now corrected (should of tryed the theme with diferent ones before...).

Second comment reply: it uses about 6% percent of CPU on mine (AMD athlon@1000 Mhz). But that is (i think) a problem with some versions of KDE and the way it handles DCOP calls, reducing refresh rates is not a solution. For instance if running on KDE from Fedora Core 3 on the same machine the CPU usage doubles compared to running it on a debian machine... :/ - Feb 10 2005

KDE 3.x Splash Screens by smashse 23 comments

U updated this but people can't use it.
Why do you keep doing it?
This is an art forum not a discussion one. If u disagree with the rules, don't use it.

;) - Feb 07 2005
