The panel is already dark :D

just haven't updated yet... I personally
think that a dark panel is better (to make
more clear that it is a panel and not
just any window), and I have always had my
panel dark so it doesn't feel right to have
a light one :)

wallpaper... well atm I think it's this
one:

I hope I have a new preview in the next
couple of days :)

Not sure what grinded metallic look you

I'm doing a preview just because it's

The font is artwiz-snap.... get the
artwiz fonts here:

http://artwizaleczapka.sourceforge.net/

the compiz stuff:

in ccsm - general options - opacity

(name=gnome-panel | type=Menu | PopupMenu | DropdownMenu)

and transparency = 80

in ccsm - blur - alpha blur windows

(name=gnome-panel | name=usp | type=Menu | PopupMenu | DropdownMenu)

blur = gaussian
alpha blur = true (checked)

About conky I have no idea why it does that,
I spended several hours testing it on
my box to get it right so you probably
need completely different settings on yours :)

hope this helps!

However I'm not sure what you mean by streamlined?

Yeah, I'm a sucker for the futuristic
tech look, yet I have not managed to
make my box exactly the way I want (that's
probably why I keep making these themes,
but hopefully I will someday!)

Somebody actually mentioned this looked
tech-like so I guess I'm heading in the
right direction!

Maybe already in next preview the panel
will be dark :)

Yeah it's close to impossible to make a dark
theme that doesn't break anything...
That's probably why I have given up wasting
hours and hours on fixing bugs in them
and I have moved to light themes instead.

If I have some time over I will take a look
at it but I'm not making any promises.

Glad to hear what you don't like so I
will
have a chance to fix it, however some of
the things
mentioned I don't think I will change since
some of those where actually the things
I like myself :)

About releasing all of this, like backround
,icons and so on isn't gonna happen since
I have not made them myself and I would
absolutely hate to step on any toes!

In the theme I have made everything from
scratch myself, this is not a port of
any kind.

A really huge thank you to all of you who
have commented,supported,given feedback
and voted (good or bad that it was)!

I'm really happy to see interest in my work!

To answer a few questions:

The theme is not black and white, it actually
is blue (well , very low on saturation because
I don't like a colorful system, maybe I'm getting
old, I don't know).

my conkyrc is available here(well, VERY
outdated but it's very easy to edit it
to ones desires)
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Conky+%5BTheRob%5D?content=74972

It is not supposed to download yet...
That's what previews are all about,
pissing those in the eyes who would actually
like to use the product ;D

Anyway, I don't think this will be ready
anytime soon but if there is enough
request I might upload a very very very
untested and ugly version :)

Thanks again!!!

Well thanks for the compliments!

The big blackwhite version is supposed to
make toolbar icons bigger, not the menu
ones (if I have understood it correctly)
and as far as I know this theme has no problem
with that :)

However to make the menu icons bigger
(this will f**k up the thing that the icons
appear on a lighter space of the menues)
edit the gtkrc file and delete the line
that says
gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=16,16"

or change 16 to 22 or whatever you want!

hope this helps!

Well thank you!

Yeah I know my themes are never customizable,
as when I create them, they are for
personal use, but after I uploaded my
first one here I was highly suprised to
how people reacted to my theme so I thought
I'd upload my future themes here and
I am still suprised the way people react
when I upload a new theme!
Enough of my blabbering...

Anyway about the votin, that you just sayd
is exactly why we need a new improved voting
system!

I always leave comments on artwork I like
because I want the artist to his work
is appreciated and that it's great!

That is why I don't like the good / bad
too much since when I like something,
I vote good, and when I think something
really revolutionary shows up, I vote
good, there should be more options!

Anyway, that was completely of topic!

Looks cool!

Well are you sure you have the tabs named
correctly?

Then one other thing you should check in
the code/gtkrc is how much space on the
borders is allocated and not stretched...
Look at the panel button and you see
what I mean. just check in the pixmaps
how much should be allocated (more rounding
will require more borders).

the code for borders looks like this:

example

border = { 4 , 4 , 6 , 6}

that means that 4 pixels is allocated
on the left, 4 on the right , 6 on top
and 6 on bottom.....

btw, The panel settings are in the
panel.rc file... look there for changing
panel settings.

Hope this helps!

Wtf is this?

Why are you jumping at auntaunt?

he is like one of the coolest users here
at gnome-look, he is just trying to help,
since that is something that's been going
on here at gnome-look lately , I think
throlling is what they call it... I don't
know, I don't really care if my themes get
voted down, but there are some really great
stuff here at gnome-look that gets voted
down for a very very very very false reason,
and if I'd had the addresses of those people
voting that artwork down , I would have
to pay a little visit with my shotgun...

*please do not take the above 100% serious*

now don't get me wrong... I think it's
good certain artwork gets voted down,
but when artwork that is really really
good (this theme is not one of those)
it really really pisses me of see some
damn fools voting that bad and scaring
the artist away!

Nof said.

Thanks!

Yeah , that is a feature :D

just delete in gtkrc and panel.rc any
code that says hline or vline....

example:

image
{
function = VLINE
recolorable = TRUE
file = "/lines/line-v-black.png"
border = {0,0,0,0}
stretch = TRUE
}

image
{
function = HLINE
recolorable = TRUE
file = "/lines/line-h-black.png"
border = {0,0,0,0}
stretch = TRUE
}

be sure to remove both the { and the } so
that the code still works....

hope this helps!
