When I add the shape option, the rectangles show up, but the rings never do.

I get the following error:

Conky: llua_do_call: function conky_widgets execution failed: /usr/share/conkycolors/scripts/conkyCairo.lua:236: attempt to perform arithmetic on global 'ring_pos' (a nil value)
- Feb 10 2011
Can't get this to work on the development version of Ubuntu. I get the following terminal output:

Conky: one or more $endif's are missing
Conky: desktop window (220001f) is subwindow of root window (ab)
Conky: window type - override
Conky: drawing to created window (0x4400001)
Conky: drawing to double buffer
^CConky: received SIGINT or SIGTERM to terminate. bye!

Nothing seems to show up at all, but conky with no conkyrc works. Let me know if I can provide more information. - Aug 17 2010
Thanks for your continued work on this script.
I'm having a problem with the MPD widget. Everything displays as (null), even while I'm playing something on MPD. I wonder if it's a permission issue... Any ideas?

Thanks! - May 09 2010
It works now for me- it might have been a video driver issue. The only issue is that the harddrive icon overlaps slightly onto the Network word if there's only one drive present. - Feb 07 2010
I tried the 1.8.0 version from the PPA and the only thing that changed was the first line of terminal output:
.conkyrc: 23: no such configuration: 'border_margin' - Feb 05 2010
I love this script, but it doesn't seem to be working in Ubuntu Lucid. The version of conky is 1.7.2. I simply get no change on my desktop...

Here's the terminal output:
Conky: border_margin is deprecated, please use window.border_inner_margin instead
Conky: desktop window (2c0001d) is subwindow of root window (110)
Conky: window type - override
Conky: drawing to created window (0x4e00001)
Conky: drawing to double buffer - Feb 05 2010
That did it! Thanks! - Sep 09 2009
Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up. So the arrow is right. - Sep 09 2009
One more thing I noticed:

Notice wind direction north and arrow pointing south. - Sep 03 2009
How exactly can I test it more? When I run the python script, I get "0.0" as a return. - Sep 03 2009
The new version looks great! Two issues I'm having. The system section doesn't display a distro icon anymore, even when I specify --ubuntu in the setup.

Also, with battery enabled, I get this error:
Conky: can't open /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/uevent: No such file or directory
Conky: can't open /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state: No such file or directory

I continue to get the second one. I'm using Ubuntu Karmic. - Sep 03 2009
It would be nice to be able to specify additional network interfaces than the three you call for in the script call line. For instance, my wireless card on my laptop and my 2nd ethernet card are both eth1, so I go in and change wlan0 to eth1 in the config file. I think you cover the bases as well as you can for various operating system, but it might be nice to have as an option. - Jun 14 2009
Thanks for the hard work :-) - Jun 13 2009

Thanks for all the great work.

Just a small issue: when one uses the --imperial option it only populates the current temperature and not the forecasts, so one has to put it in each high and low manually.

Also, on my laptop, the update text is cut off- it says "up-to-dat." Not sure if this is due to my resolution though... - Jun 13 2009

I think showing the resolution of each (perhaps in a tooltip?) would make it easier to choose between the various sources. I would love to have this in a future version. - Dec 25 2009
Is there a way you could make a field show the resolution of each result, so that the user can apply whichever one is biggest. Also, what exactly the "force square" option do? Does it actually change the image or just not allow images that aren't square? - Dec 25 2009
Thanks- it must be a problem with my access key. I pasted the one that the Amazon website gives me, but it doesn't work in your script or on the page you linked me to. - Dec 25 2009
Thanks for the useful script. Two questions:
Which Amazon key should be used, and should it be the entire key? I tried the "Access Key ID" and the "Secret Access Key" and neither of them produced any results (or error messages) for Amazon.

Also, is there a way to change the file name from folder.jpg to cover.jpg? Perhaps an option in .conf file? - Dec 22 2009
