You can do by System Settings > Workspace appearance > Desktop theme > Get new theme.

I also think it is not. I only used lightdm by a couple of days until install again Kdm, because it is the default DM of kubuntu 14.04. The dificult becomes with the dealing of spreaded files. - Mar 29 2015

Ok, it seems that you are still using the user list. If you don't want it, you must disable this option in System Settings > Login Screen > Users > Show list. - Mar 18 2014
