The shortcut for toggling the touch functionality now works (after restarting kde), except the setting does not stick after replugging the device.
I filed https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=310670 for the button actions. - Nov 25 2012

I bought a wacom bamboo tablet, and started using the kcm. First, thanks for developing this, it contains all the options I can think of, maybe except a testing area ;)
I have the following issues:
* I can set a shortcut for toggling the touch feature of my device, but I have to reapply the kcm when I reconnect the tablet.
* I can not get buttons to work. I tried to assign a shortcut and a modifier, to no avail. I do not understand what the "button" option does. Assigning a modifier, the text below the buggon reads "activate widget 21", and the choice is not remembered. Assigning a keystroke (eg "ctrl + z") looks fine, but it does not work, the keystroke is not sent.
If you would rather receive bug reports on bugs.kde.org, let me know :) - Nov 24 2012

I had to fix a small issue to build:
diff --git a/src/boardview.h b/src/boardview.h
index 877c304..a029aef 100644
--- a/src/boardview.h
+++ b/src/boardview.h
@@ -20,7 +20,7 @@
#ifndef BOARDVIEW_H
#define BOARDVIEW_H
-#include <qt4/QtGui/QScrollArea>
+#include <QtGui/QScrollArea>
It does not produce any video here, maybe missing runtime dependencies? I will be back if I can't solve it.
Looking forward to the touch version on a tablet! - Nov 18 2012

After restarting akonadi, plasma-desktop needs to be restarted, since it goes into a infinite CPU-hogging mode. Very annoying.
The grey box in the bottom of the scrollbar, looking like a corner widget btw, is also still there.
The time required by eventlist to process events is really way too long, we are talking > 2 minutes. If the time for restarting akonadi and plasma-desktop is included, > 5 minuts to get a working desktop session running.
I'm using 3 calendar resources + a birthday resource. - May 10 2012

For marking TODOs as done, just change the item and have akonadi save it.
Btw I have a layout problem with the plasmoid currently, the scrollbar is somehow having a grey box below it. I dont know if this is a problem with a plasma widget or what, since i have no other plasmoids with scrollbars. - Mar 12 2012
Apart from that, there are some improvements that are possible with recent akonadi, for example it is possible to edit events without starting korganizer. It would also be possible to mark a TODO as done from interaction in eventlist. - Mar 08 2012

I think both danish, swedish and norwegian will need æøå, and swedish in addition äö. Many european languages have extra characters (french, spanish, east european languages), so maybe using a font for letters would be smart?
As for the downloading, you are right - it now works. I will add a install script to the aur package to run kbuildsycoca.
I recognized the similarity with palipeli actually :) Experimenting is good, but I'm glad you decided on a more common layout. After trying krosswordpuzzle yesterday, I got an update of choqok, which now have a crome style menubutton when the menu is hidden.
Looking forward to next version :) - Nov 02 2011

I also could not download any of the puzzles I tried using the built in function, I just get error messages.
I could find .puz files on the internet, but opening them was difficult, since the file dialog did not show them. Typing the initial filename letters required.
Apart from that:
* Please consider mixing menubar with tabs once more! Why not just show the library part if someone wants to open something? If you want to save space, consider allowing to hide the menubar, don't forget a toolbar button to display it...
* Please have a "quit" action, so that your application can be closed using ctrl + q. - Nov 01 2011
I have an issue that is not new, namely blinking tooltips. This occurs when there is not room enough for a tooltip above the plasmoid, in which case it is placed below the cursor, leading to it blinking - maybe the item below the cursor gets a cursorout event which causes it to hide, after which the cursor is again above the item and the tooltip displayes, a bad cycle?
I do not know if this problem should be solved in eventlist, or in plasma. but annoying it is, disturbing the usability of my favorite plasmoid :) - Oct 11 2011

I was struck by another issue today: It is the second day of a multiday event, so I got a "Earlier stuff" group, with that event greyed out.
I suggest that multiday events would be mentioned on the current day. of course, there should be a special template ;)
"word festival day 2" - Mar 11 2011
The worst problem with flexibility may be to present it in a simple GUI, so that it is easy to use and understand. Maybe I can try and help with ideas.
Another problem is good defaults, in this case maybe an example could be not having dates in the "today" and "tomorrow" groups, including for birthdays, or even "not having dates in groups that covers only one day"
My birthday template is currently "%{startDate} % {summary} - %{yearsSince} år" (where "år" means "years old"). - Mar 11 2011
For the text formatting, it would have to be associated with the group maybe? - Mar 10 2011
First thank you for the ongoing improvements of this plasmoid, I use it everyday in more than one configuration in different activities.
I started using the custom headers, very nice. I have to suggest enabling templates like [weekday] and [month] for them, that would be cool. There is a class for template replacements in strings in kdelibs I believe.
My other suggestion today is a repeat, I would love to be able to hide the dates in the texts for events where the header is a day, for example "today" or "tomorrow".
Btw, on my netbook the config dialog does not fit the screen. To improve that, you coulc tabify the text configuration widget, tabs for events and todos instead of placing them on the same widget.
Keep up to good work! - Mar 10 2011

I haven't tried the "apply" button yet, but everything looks fine, all the data is read including in the advanced tab.
You could use a KUrlRequester for the wallpaper image, and maybe a color chooser in X mode for the colors...
Super cool, very nice to be able to configure grub in a GUI :) - Mar 07 2011

With the last update, the blur situation appear to have improved quite a bit.(?) So I experimented a bit with this feature again. Another thing that springs to mind is that if I enable opacity, my windows change color quite drastically. I use a color scheme with almost white window backgrounds, so I expect to have white, translucent windows. Instead I get some sort of grey :(
I did some testing, and it appears that the grey tint to some degree works with grey or darker color scheemes, but light or brightly colored ones suffer badly. Try for example the "Opel" theme available here at kde-look - with 65% translucency your windows will get a sick, greenish-yellow color :o
It would be super cool if translucent windows would reflect the current color! - Feb 24 2011

I'd very much like to suggest
* No tooltip for the plasmoid itself (it's kinda redundant)
* Configurable title (I have different configurations on some of my activities, and a title would help identifying where I am)
* Grouping pr day for the first week. I'd love to be able to have "Today", "Tomorrow", "<weekday>"... groups. That would be much easier than having to translate dates -> weekday.
* Different formatting for events this week. Mostly to be able to hide the date, so instead of "Today: 17/2 18:00: Meeting", I could have "Today: 18:00: Meeting". (this of course requires pr week grouping, or it would have to be just for today and tommorrow events) - Feb 17 2011

And now I can indeed do the most basic control using keyborad, that is pause and mute, and go to next/previous item in my playlist.
And indeed bangarant supports playlists, once one finds out how to manage them - at first I had problems finding out how to open a file from the gui at all.
So I may use bangarang for a while.
Here are some suggestions that would make me a happier user:
1. More keyboard support - volume control, show/hide playlist with a single key, switch back and forth between "media lists" and player with a single key (currently the alt + KEY shortcuts are changing when switching, which is bad).
2. OSD display - volume, pause/play, general information - the media name + where in it I am would be good info to have.
3. When switching file, please display the title and length for the new file! Just a brief OSD display.
4. Make it easier to select a playlist. Currently I have to select a list, and then "play all" - doubleclick/return to play the selected list would be fine.
5. I love the ability to edit the media name, as some files have long and ugly names. Currently bangarang does not keep the name though, so actually saving that information when I press Save would be cool ;)
6. What does indexing do for me? I can't figure that out! Possibly related, what means "save onthologies" and "remove selected info"???
All that said, I find bangarang a very promising media player, the basic idea is really good, so I hope it will keep evolving, and I hope you can use my ideas as inspiration! - Jan 29 2011

Currently, the only thing that is not saved appears to be size, but i am unsure why it didn't just save. Maybe kde crashes during shotdown, it sometimes does. But other applets does save their config without problems - maybe they do so by saving immediately? most applets seems to use plasma for saving their configuration, fading calender does not.
Apart from that, I do like your applet, it provides valuable information in a relatively discrete manner :) - Jan 16 2011
