About 7 months later- this set is updated again to include over 300 more new icons, mostly application icons:

Many thanks to JamesHardy88 and Tiggz for their provision and creation of the theme over a decade ago. - 20 hours ago
Archangel-12 Icon set for all desktops

Full Icon Themes by aravisian 6 comments

And please remember that this is something I do in my free time, I am an amateur and one person. I enjoy skeumorphism and non-flat Icons and I share what I come up with for my own computer with others, hoping they may enjoy them, too. But I am not a team of people that can undertake Large Tasks neither quickly nor easily. Most of these icons use Gradient Colors so it cannot be Recolored en masse.
Nor get paid for it in order to spend that much time on it. Maybe I should start up a patreon account...

Archangel-12 Icon set for all desktops

Full Icon Themes by aravisian 6 comments

ikxik, sorry but no. Not at this time. Currently, Archangel does not come in Green or Red colors and it is far too much work for me to recolor 400 or so icons individually, to make a new set at this time. I am backlogged with updating GT3 and other icon sets, now with the new App Icons I put into this one. - 1 day ago
CinnamonChad, I am very sorry to take so long with this. I had pulled the listing in order to make repairs and it ended up following in the footsteps of all other projects that preceded it. But it should be fixed, now. I just texted it as working on Cinnamon 4.4.8 - Jul 28 2020
Thanks, I took a look at some of your themes, as well. Puts me to shame.

CORRECTION AND UPDATE: I have managed to replicate this. I notice I did misplace the wrong metacity file when I assembled the theme- however, corrected that did not resolve- I will continue to work on finding the problem and solving it.
- Jun 14 2020
Cinnamonchad, I have attempted to replicate this on a build of Cinnamon D.E. 4.4.8 on Zorin. I failed to replicate, so I tried it on fresh copies of Mint 19.3 Tricia with 4.4.8 Cinn and Mint 20 (BETA) Ulyana with cinnamon 4.6
I was still unable to replicate any Window Border issues, with multiple themes including Azenis, Empire and this one.
I examined the Metacity files and both of the above use Metactity3.
Can you give any details as to how the Border was not working correctly? - Jun 14 2020
Cinnamonchad, let me see if I can replicate it and then find why the Metacity is failing. It May be that 4.4.8 has made a change in the Metacity. I will try to find out swiftly.
- Jun 14 2020
Ioannes, thanks for the suggestions. I will add this to the project suggested by Redinator, below.
That said... I thought I remembered making the VLC icon- specifically because it gave me a bit of trouble in copying and I had to reformat it. Maybe I am thinking of Empire set- but I will check.

Thanks, cybermunki. For others that may wonder, D3Euronism is the prominent font used.

Thank you, Krig - May 24 2020
Thanks Krig. The original is by TreeTog for the Other Operating System and was originally ported to Linux (Old Gnome, back when Gnome was good) by JamesHardy88, Technoshaun and others.
This was my effort at bringing it up to speed for newer Desktop Environments. I don't know about talent... I have done this with several themes to teach myself and to develop more independence in my own desktop look, whichever desktop I use at a moment. The design and most of the imagery is original to the Original Authors with only necessary modifications to conform to GTK3. I have not been doing much with themes lately, as I focus on work and other projects (Mostly automotive and mechanical) and by the time I sit down at a computer to do Computer work, I will probably have forgotten the css I learned in doing these :D - May 08 2020
That would be the polite thing to do and on others, I certainly have done that. This particular piece was a suggestion for One Individual who had asked for a solution to using PaulXFCE's theme. I put it here for him to download and thought I would leave it up for others in case they May be interested in it. (Or interested in Improving it).
Many O.A.'s have moved on to other interests and are unresponsive.
And I often point out in my "Creations" that others may take them, use them, improve them, redesign them and distribute them as they wish.
This particular piece is a Ten-minute slap together to address one persons concern and is certainly NOT a replacement to the extensive work done by PaulXFCE.
When it comes to Open source, creative commons and public Domain, that is how it works.
If PaulXFCE sees this and requests that it be taken down, I certainly will comply- And I will think less of him for it.
- May 08 2020
Redinator thanks for the vote and the suggestion. As it is currently, I have enough work and projects going to keep me busy for several months, at least. But I added your idea to my notes and in free moments, I will work on it. It may be a bit of a wait, but please check back in. If time passes and you would like an update, I am easily reachable at aravisian@protonmail - May 07 2020
Yes, but I think it was worth all of the time. I am using this one and have been since I posted it. It has become my favorite, alongside of Azenis2 - Apr 23 2020
Thank you :) - Apr 23 2020
Solsitceman, thanks for the encouragement. It is frustrating that if you do a search on "best themes" you get articles written in tech-mags that all display the same tired flat pasty themes and tell you how much you are going to love them.
I see you have been hard at work making themes as well. Thanks for keeping customization alive. - Apr 16 2020

Advent Fusion Cinnamon Theme - NOCSD

Cinnamon Themes by aravisian 7 comments

This one and Empire really do tickle me.
Thanks Panisawesome, feedback and reporting issues is VERY helpful. I more often find things wrong when testing by myself, then I feel humiliated that I uploaded something that wasn't working quite right.
Prowler- I admit, it needs a LOT of work. I slapped that one out way too fast. I also have an odd problem with it- I dislike working on it. It took me a while to figure out why... But the reason is that the theme mixes Light and Dark and that makes it a nightmare on the contrast issues. This causes me to shun going back into it to fix things. I have considered doing a ReMake of it- starting over from scratch and changing the base nature of it.
I notice that XFCE4.14 broke Ninja by Don5318 whereas it worked great on 4.12. Another thing I need to fix. Then, Making This Advent Fusion theme, I learned some new css tricks that will enable me to fix some things that Plagued me in Azenis-One and AzenisEX. So, I need to go back in and do that. I still have not created a Cinnamon for CopperdeckEX...
I probably need to step back from making new things and go back to the start and take each already uploaded theme, one a time, and Bring them all up to speed. - Mar 03 2020

Yes, I had dumped quite a few of the images from the gtk2 aspect because they are not actually utilized. I should have removed their entries from the resource file. Don't worry about the errors- they are harmless; just complaints that they cannot locate the file that they would not use, anyway.
But I will create a corrected version as soon as I am available and upload it so that you and others do not need to get plagued with errors. It may be about 4 hours before I get to it.
- Mar 03 2020
You're welcome. Usually, I keep testing things looking for problems- because it is exceptionally rare that people let me know of problems and here I am... being foolishly proud of my handiwork only to have it subpar on someone elses system and they don't say nothin'...
You have no idea how you made my day letting me know about that.
I would have fixed it sooner, but the alert of your message caught me elbow deep in an engine block. Took me a minute to wash up :D - Feb 28 2020
Thank you for letting me know. I wish more people did that...
I was able to reproduce it.
I took a look at the Cinnamon .css and sure enough, I put "white" in the wrong place.
I have fixed it and adjusted the download so downloading a new copy will resolve. HOWEVER, I also posted your bug report and fix above if users prefer to fix rather than download again. - Feb 28 2020
I will never put forth a Flat Theme. We be Renegades. - Feb 23 2020
BNSF88, I have added a RED variant of this theme in two formats: With or Without the use of gtk-3-nocsd. Please see the comments above in the listing. - Feb 20 2020
kewltoyz, please see here for XFCE: https://www.pling.com/p/1344632/
Please see here for Budgie or Gnome: https://www.pling.com/p/1345149/
I have not, at this time, branched into KDE themes- Theme should work on Mate, but I have not yet made a Cinnamon Desktop theme to accompany it .
I have not updated or looked these over in a while, so they may need some work- Please let me Know if you find anything wrong with the theme.
- Feb 20 2020
That could be a perk of it being made available in this day- It's FOSS, baby!
- Feb 19 2020
You have great timing in asking this... I have learned a few more things about .css and have been eyeballing AzenisEX for some fixes and over-hauling.
I was already considering setting some time aside to do that, so making a red version is more motive to do so. Will update when ready.
- Feb 17 2020
Interesting... In XFCE, the volume popover does not use the tooltip. I keep on learning. I will take your advice and reverse it to where tooltips are enabled by default and have this listing give the tip for disabling them, - Feb 14 2020
Verdigod, this was actually by design... Though maybe not one of my better ideas. In the cinnamon folder gtk.css, you will find:
Line 1852:
#Tooltip {
background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.0);
color: rgba(0,0,0,0.0);
border: 0px solid #000000;
background-color: transparent;
background-gradient-start: rgba(0,0,0,0.0);
background-gradient-end: rgba(0,0,0,0.0);
background-gradient-direction: vertical;
}
Either delete that snippet from the .css or Comment it out with /* at the start of that snippet and */ at the end of that snippet and it will then fallback to the Tooltip snippet on line 55. Hope this helps. - Feb 14 2020

This has become my daily user and current favorite, to be honest. I guess it makes sense that it would suit my tastes, but I cannot deny I surprised myself with this one.
Thanks, Panisawesome:) - Feb 14 2020

Prowler EX gtk3 Cinnamon Desktop Mate

I can. Currently, I have about 6 more themes as projects lined up that I would like to complete before taking special requests. But I made a note of "green Prowler" and should get to it within a week or so. I will update here in the comments or you can email aravisian@protonmail.com - Feb 11 2020

Ah, good. I was hoping others would take the Whiskermenu themes as Templates to create their own. - Feb 11 2020
You are referring to the Application Menu? What you see in the Screenshots is made using a backdrop coded in Python. I then use wmctrl and xdotool to tie it into Whiskermenu so that the backdrop opens a split second before the Menu does, creating the effect that you see.
I can teach you how to do the same, but it is a bit tedious and time consuming.
You do have another option: Theme directly into the menu (Though you will not get the larger Window Image as easily.
Please let me know if you are using XFCE 4.14 or 4.12. If you like, I can see if I can create a Custom Whiskermenu theme for you and put it up for download. :) - Feb 10 2020
Ack* see, this is where comments help. The background image of the panel is a Modified form of one made by Mr.Grim. While it looks nothing like the original Azenis panel by Jun Jiu Ying, it has a crisp and clear darkness to it that was similar enough, yet different enough, I couldn't resist jamming it in there real hard with a pitchfork. - Feb 08 2020
