I am running Kubuntu 12.04 and Amarok 2.5.0. When I use this script, it is now adding tracks with a "Collection" value of "None" on the "Summary" tab. This means the play could isn't being updated correctly for the tracks which are technically in my "Local Collection".
I hope this is simple to fix. This script is awesome! - Jun 15 2012

Amarok 1.4.x was *stable*.
It worked great.
It had all the features I wanted.
I will take the step forwards to the next version when it isn't a step backwards feature wise. I still use Amarok 1.4.10 for that reason, and don't mind tolerating the Qt 1.3 stuff so I can keep the software that "works properly" (IMO).
As to the questions about "what is missing" -- do a feature comparison between the two. That will answer the question.
Amarok 2 has had some GREAT steps forward. But it is not yet sufficiently mature enough to replace 1.4.x. - Jul 26 2009

The "yay" wins out and gives a "Good" vote. Thanks for perpetuating the air of levity. I am now tempted to tolerate gold cuteness for the sake of amusement...! - Sep 24 2008

2. click on cover art to pop up amarok
These are the two major reasons I keep going back to "gsm". Perhaps a bit nit picky, but it keeps it as my favorite Amarok Superkaramba theme.
The coverart on this seemed to overflow the theme a little. I didn't dig into the theme definition, and I suspect that could be configurable.
Looks very nice! - Sep 10 2008

I can get this command to work on the command line:
rsync -avz -e ssh ./Source user@machine:/home/Target
but I have not found how to get Krsync to do this. "Read the man page" is clearly not providing the illuminating answer that will help us here.
Can you be so kind as to provide a bit more guidance as to how we can get that command line command to work similarly in Krsync? - Dec 25 2007

Also, two features that would push GSM from being my favorite Amarok theme:
1. mouse wheel volume control
2. single-click controls.
I think I know how GSM does both -- it's in the py code. - Nov 20 2007
