Yeah you're right, duplicating the logo's probably not the best of ideas. It's just that when I first saw the splash, the top section seemed sort of "empty" to me. Maybe just some playfull white text like "KDE" or "KDesktop Environment", sort of following the curves of the background, would look nice? - Jan 11 2006
