I know that when you create a character you can give them multiple states. How do you get back to that window where you edit them.
Btw you should really add a + button or something. Right now to add a new state you have to click in the empty space. That is too hidden.
How do you switch states during gameplay?
thanks in advance - Aug 02 2014
1. firefox runs the game flawlessly from local hd, while chrome gets stuck on the loading bar.
2. One can select a browser in the settings window, but there is no command in the menus to run test in browser
3. It's hard to save progress, wheres ctrl+s? :(
Instead one has to reexport on every save.
4. After installing it from deb, I still need to point out where the engine path is in the settings window before being able to save. Some new users might find this intimidating.Would be nice to have a default path that points to where it's installed by default.
You might already know about these things. Let me know if you like me to submit to a bug tracker- I wanna help in any way I can as this is a really promissing project!! - Apr 17 2013
This is a feature that would give your image viewer a huge advantage over gwenview and all the others.
Its present in gnome's main image viewer eog - Apr 01 2013
Btw, check this out
http://motionartist.smithmicro.com/index.html
it lets you add motion to sprites in order to create a more involving story. A feature like that combined with interactivity really doesnt exist out there.
The only other engine that does animation that I know of is Novelty. Its free, but not open source and runs on linux with wine.
It cant export to html5 in my knowledge - Jan 05 2013

I tried it with the list in the other program and most websites didnt work at all.
The popular big ones:
chan.sankakucomplex.com
gelbooru.com
safebooru.org
after trying some of them, the client refused to let me paste text in the add more danbooru's urls :(

1. You can just run it and look through images without the need to register at the boards.
2. It has a much greater number of board to search through out of the box.
3. Batch downloader with ability to specify how the files are named - Jan 02 2013

Might be worth including an apt-get install line in the readme file- for ubuntu users who might be interested in compiling this. Its a bit hard to gather the libraries from synaptic, considering their naming varies.
Btw check out
http://code.google.com/p/imgbrd-grabber/
its another danbooru app that runs on linux, its free and has much more features.. However its super unstable, which is a shame :(
But it works.
I wish I could compile its latest version- the linux build at the website is a bit older than its windows equivalent. The source code is available for download with svn - Jan 02 2013

I believe that this engine can be big due to its html5 export nature. Very few engines, especially open source ones support that.
On running games, I tried that button and instead of running my game, what the button does is it prompts me to open a directory on my file system.I give it the directory where the engine is. That then opens my browser (chromium), but instead of the game's start screen, i get a black screen with a "star (OK)" pop up dialog window. Nothing happens.
On motion paths:
A motion path is a predefined vector path(made out of nodes) that an object can travel on from point A to point B. Such a path can be useful if you want to move a sprite on the screen, but its definitely a bit of an extra to have.
Ideally, to keep the exported games smaller, it would be quite nice if belle supported svg animation, but that technology is currently too young and not very useable in open source software- not as useable as flash anyway :( - Dec 21 2012
If I have to suggest a key feature that I am mostly missing on ANY visual novel engine- that would be the ability to use animated images (gifs) or import animation sequences.
Combine that with buttons and motion paths and you can create a sort of an interesting adventure game type effect.
Thebest part of belle is the ability to export to html5 though. What I miss is the ability to easily test my game- there is no "compline and run" button anywhere. There is no preference option to select my browser and the engine is not using the default browser. I could play with it for a while, but it was impossible to get a game to run in the browser - Dec 19 2012

This is very simular to thunar's custom actions.
Now if someone manages to create a kcontrol module to manage the action menus and install and uninstall action menus from tarballs:

Using kde-look for exposure of your almost naked body is generally a bad idea, which is bad for kde-look,because these photos are not to be used for desktop wallpapers and instead for mindless browsing of sexed up teenager kids and somewhat not work safe.
There is absolutely no logic for this to be here. This is not an erotic site, these wallpapers could be art,but not the kind that has anything to do with linux or one's kde desktop eye candy. ~_0 - Sep 18 2006

================
in this version of the mockup,I added my idea for adding custom actions, which was driven by Thunars' User Customizable Actions (thunar-uca):
http://thunar.xfce.org/plugins.html#thunar-uca
i think that a sepparate dialogue for making a custom action is better in this case, but you know,it can also be done with only one input text box (and a short HowTo for the sintax) =)
I was hasty and I couldnt think of a better sintax than:
servicename=
/action1(command1;command2;etc...)&action2(command1;command2;etc)&...
and for submenus:
/>submenu1-action1(...)&action2(...)>submenu2-same/>submenutosubmenu2.... etc etc
or something like that.Where submenu* stands for the name of the menu and action* stands for the name of the action (the things we will see in the right click menu) and (*) are the commands that are being executed for the action name before the () ...
or something simple like that. =) - Sep 17 2006

Like when you have image files and you want them to be edited in a certain kind of way, you can use a bunch of imagemagick commands.
Its easy for the END user to make his own service menu,by just typing the commands he wants. - Sep 17 2006

I really dont find your body sexy.If you are trying to sell yoursefl through sex, you are failing.
This is the wrong place to be for the likes of your naked body. Maybe make yourself a porn site and then you will earn some money too. ~_0 - Sep 13 2006
