There is a problem with "qt4-qtscript". The amarok script part seems to rely on this package. Unfortunately it is not available for QT 4.8

Also see my post here:

And this discussion:

Until the problem is solved (make "qt4-qtscript" compile with QT 4.8) the only way to get back your scripts is to downgrade QT.

Is there anybody out there who also has issues with this script in amarok 2.5?

I am trying to get this script to work in amarok 2.5 on OpenSuSE 12.1 / KDE 4.7.4

I deleted the folder "~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok" and any amarok related file in "~/.kde4/share/config" to start with a clean installation of amarok. Unfortunately this did not help.

Ideas anyone? Thanks. - Jan 01 2012

Thank you for you for your comprehensive answers.

I am trying to reduce the plasmoids minimum width.
I would like the monitor to be a slim coloumn placed at the edge of my screen.

I will try to get control over the mimimum width as suggested by adjusting the script.

I guess the statusbars that display the network transfer rates force the plasmoid to widen everytime it gets restarted.

I will post a how-to if I am successfull

Kudos for your work. Enjoy your weekend.

actually I did not know that so it sort of is what i wanted.

Luckily for me it was not much work writing this menu ;-)

Also, one advantage of this copy_path menu remains:
It does not add "file:// " to the filename. - Mar 30 2009

Jupp -- you are right!

I uploaded a new tarball.
Should be fine now. Thanks for the information.

what i forgot to mention:
you need sudo set up properly, so that your user is allowed to shut down the system using the sudo comand.

sorry about that. - Mar 25 2005
