Well, Fedora users are not only linux newbies or hobbyists.

We have to satisfy everyone with everything.

As for pcb, Fedora is shipping pcb and gEDA since FC4/5. I'm their package maintainer.

After more than one year of hard work, we are now(For F7 and F8) providing VLSI design tools as another option.

As you can see, you have tools depending on your expertise. Mine is VLSI design, so that's among the reasons, why I've included VLSI design tools for Fedora.

Not everyone uses Fedora the same way. This is what makes Fedora so special. :)
