what's so bad about removing the window decoration...?
All "we" want is to have a video playing in some corner without losing screen estate.
There should be no difficulties whatsoever. In the worst case a click in the window could either open a menu with the option to leave minimal mode, or even more extrem leave the minimal mode right away. - Jan 29 2009

I understand if you don't want to implement a minimal mode for personal reasons, but your argument about using mplayer just doesn't hold. Mplayer will not use KDE's default sound configuration (I have for instance two sound-cards), nor will it work with KIO-slaves. Basically many of the advantages KDE provides are lost.
Kaffeine may become a possible replacement, but as of now there is no KDE4 version and Kaffeine is still much bigger than Dragon. - Jan 22 2009
