Red Icons for GNU/Linux

Full Icon Themes by promix89 28 comments

For everyone who's complaining that you can't install this, that's because it is not an icon THEME. It is simply a set. Just because it is a tar.gz does not mean that it can be installed.

To use the icons, extract them somewhere. You can then use them by selecting the icons in a folders 'Properties' menu. - Dec 12 2009
ATER Cursor Theme

Cursors by Simzer 23 comments

I made a red version, just like the blue one. Loved the ATER theme, but had a red colored desktop, so I finally got around to making it match :) Also listing the blue one (made by poster above) because it looks just as good as the green ATER.

Wallpaper Other by servechilled 7 comments

I'm trying to figgure out how to set it so that each viewport has a different background, i.e. a different part of the map for each panel on my 3x3 wall.

Im using Ubuntu 8.04 with CompizFusion. I used to use Desktop cube and I know how to set THAT up to have different wallpaper on each piece, but I cant figgure out how with the wall - Jul 07 2008

Ubuntu 8.04 CD (DVD) Cover

CD/DVD Labels by PeppeMessoMalex 7 comments

yeah the "lts" makes it look like you're saying "It's"

and are you planning on making a server edition variation of both the CD and the Case label? - Apr 29 2008
you can add a "start button" with a little effort

first off you have to have a "main menu" utility on your panel. just right click and click add to panel. make sure its a "main menu" and not a "menu bar"

open a terminal

type $gconf-editor

navigate apps > panel > objects

find whichever object is the "menu-object" (if you have a lot on your panel it might take a little bit of sifting)

check "use_custom_icon"

under "custom_icon" add the path to the image you want to use.

very nice icons btw. - Apr 20 2008
