After using the wallpaper for quite some time I started noticing quite a few artefacts due to the JPEG compression.

Would you mind to upload a less compressed version?

That would be great... - May 18 2013

Hi,
the theme looks great on my GTK2 windows, but in GTK3 windows, quite a lot of widgets have a bright white border, which can be a bit annoying, especially when the remainder of the window is rather dark - Jan 31 2013

Hi,
I liked the theme, but there appear to be some problems:
- GTK3 windows in the background lok really good, but when they get focus the brushed metal is replaced with plain black.
- GTK2 windows just do not apply the theme. I have double checked: pixbuf engine is installed. - Jan 31 2013

I have been using this screenlet for years. When I suggest the screenlet to a friend just a few moments ago I noticed that there is no Properties dialog opening when clicking on the corresponding context menu entry.
Could this be a bug or is it intended to be this way? - Aug 16 2012

Hi,
I just tried to download your icon theme, but it is no longer at this location (Error 404). Maybe you would care on uploading the theme somewhere else.

Google Calendar Screenlet

Conky by boamaod 86 comments

Hi,
some month ago I published a screenlet for Google Calendar, too.
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/PhantCalendar?content=120461

I experienced exactly the same problems regarding the "loss" of the password.
Applying the patch did not really work for me:

It feels like playing Roulette. One time it works, on other locations it does not.

This can drive one really insane.

Good luck and CU - Jun 10 2010

Recurring events should be no problem. In my calendar I have several of those, too. The screenlet is designed to parse the feed of all calendars and display every event from this feed.
As like the bug with the server error (see above) I have no idea where the error could be. Have you checked on the google calendar webpage, too?

If you are familiar with Python you could insert some debug messages by your own. In the function "calendar_query". Looking at the variable "apps" in this function might be helpful.

I will take a closer look to the problem within the next days, too. - Mar 09 2010

Hi,
the command line output looks completely normal. I've added some test appointments like yours to my calender and they appeared all after a refresh in the screenlet. Sorry, but I have no idea, what could have gone wrong... - Mar 09 2010

I've teste the screenlet on several computers (all Ubuntu 9.10) and did not receive the errors (close-button, service error) you described.

I had a look at Google and found some pages referring to the code 500 error you encountered. Maybe one of them might help you:

gdata.service.RequestError: {'status': 500, 'body': 'Service Error: Could not generate feed.', 'reason': 'Internal Server Error'}

This sounds like an internal error at Google. To test whether you can access you calendar's feed try this:
- go to your calendar's settings in your browser
- click on the XML-button for your private address and have a look at it.

If this works and the screenlet still does not, I have no further clue at the moment... - Feb 20 2010

Hi,
unfortunately I have no idea, why the function GetAllCalendarsFeed() returns an error.
But I will have a look on the problem.

Please feel free to investigate the problem, too. Maybe we find out, what went wrong.

Hi,
when the screenlet does not show the comment "offline" it has successfully connected to Google.
By default the screenlet queries only events which start within the next two weeks with respect to the moment of querying.

For the start I suggest:
- Create an event which is one day in the future.
- Increase the value of "# weeks".

If this does not change anything, start the screenlet from the command line and have a look at the output for errors...

Good luck - Feb 20 2010
